What God has made is Awesome! Stan explores it well! Thanks! (Once I camped on Indian Creek in '73. Looks same now as then).

I'm so happy to see a new video! I love watching your videos. The scenery is always beautiful even if you don't see much wildlife. Thanks for the hike! :)
Your videos make me want to live in Yellowstone even more they're so amazing!!!! :D
Thanks for posting another video. I love ever one of them. I wish I lived closer to Yellowstone National Park so I could experience it more often. But, thanks to you, I get to experience YNP
Hey, Stan! Thanks for another great video!!! Will visit the GYE in late May 2021, hopefully!!!
Stan I was really glad to see all the tracks in the snow.. thanks for letting us see nature in her winter stage... love the peaceful atmosphere.. God Bless you.
Nice vistas. Love the sheep.
So beautiful and peaceful. Thanks for sharing. Love your drawings. 👍😂🙏
We live near Grand Targhee, always getting there in late fall. This is the first fall we were unable to. A beautiful time to visit.
Thank you Stan. It’s such an amazing thing to see what Yellowstone looked like YESTERDAY! Amazing. I especially enjoyed your tracking and seeing the different foot prints. Those grizzly prints were huge. Thanks again for the treat, especially when we are looked down in COVID.
Great video ,I used to hike that country then down the. Yellow stone side into Tom miner basin!
Thank you for sharing a part of God’s beautiful creation with us 👍👍 Stay safe and God bless ✌️
You know what really surprised me in all the wonderful videos you post, Stan? (no need to comment here, Stan) Is the number of cut trees along the trail that I have seen. I had no idea and I guess that the path has to be cleared but for some reason I thought that the hikes would be more in a "wilderness" setting. Not that this isn't "backcountry" but it just surprises me to see these signs of man. Reguardless, your videos are GREAT! Thank you for taking us along and many more years of following you on your hikes!
You are totally right on what you are saying. Signs of man are everywhere. Yellowstone is more like a giant drive in or walk in zoo. People that are put in charge of Yellowstone no longer know what it means to preserve Yellowstone and keep it natural. It is all about accommodating more and more people; faster and better highways, more wifi and telephone towers, bigger parking lots... Fortunately I don't show power lines and power boxes in my videos. If you ever get the chance to go to Old Faithful, it will be like a city there. Highway overpasses, hotels and lodging everywhere, shopping, gas stations..it is crazy!
@@StanMills Yes, I did get to Old Faithful and it is quite commercialized. I think there is a balance in the lower 48 in that because of the high population, the park system doesn't have much option but to open things to "tourists" more and more. If they closed off or kept "conveniences" at a minimum, the population/supporters may start to feel differently about preserving what is left in the national parks in the lower 48. Educating the public is key here so they don't destroy what they love. Thank you for your comment and thank you for taking us on your hikes!
such a beautiful time in the park. my favorite. I'm a hunter, but I love to see nature and the animals without any hunting pressure.
Lovely video :) So beautiful & stunning out there..... Awesome video
Cruz, thank you. I wish you would make some videos on your channel. It would be fun to see some of your hiking experiences.
I bet hiking keeps you in great shape!
Like your drawing !
My son and I hiked this in Sep. we took the Nordic trail for couple of miles as well.
It’s wonderful to hear from you again! Thanks for taking us along, as always. Do you hunker down for the winter nearby, or head to a warmer climate?
I second that!
Good to see another Video stan cheers from au 🦘
more 🐹 🌄 Pika's if you see any xd
Beautiful scenery. About 30 years ago I snowmobiled in YNP and it was about -20 F.
Have most of the bears gone into hibernation at this point?
Great scenes as usual. Enjoyed your artwork. You are very talented. Question: Have you ever had a close encounter with a grizzly that you had to use your bear spray? If so, fo you have a link to that episode?
Great video. Nice drawing. A couple of ?/ Multi day hike? In the 14 min , what wildflower was that &, the skinny tracks runnining along the bear tracks, animal ?, cross country skies?
Thinking about you today
Hope you're well
That is weird 💯💙✌🏻
Stan, you always create such fantastic video content. I always enjoy and learn from your hikes.
I, wish I could hike with you in 2021.
Also please do a gear review of you sub zero clothing and shoes. I enjoy hiking so much, but don't do much in the snow, so I'm looking to lear. From your experience. Also, other than your general knowledge of the trails in Yellowstone, how do you navigate in the snow when the trail is covered.
Thanks 😊
John, I hope to do some winter camping videos this year. I really don't do many winter videos because they are kind of boring but it seems they are not necessarily boring to everyone so maybe I will make more videos. I have always concentrated mainly on grizzly bears but I can see that a lot of people are interested in seeing Yellowstone in general and also interested in the same things you are asking. As far as navigating without seeing the trail, well I try to do 100% winter snowshoeing off of a trail so not seeing a trail is no issue. You may notice I never use metal trail snowshoes. I only use the long Alaskan traditional snowshoes that allow me to go off trail. Thank you for your questions and comments.
Stan we enjoy your hike vids. You ever come across weird stick structures or prints? There are a few Bigfoot reports from YNP. Thanks.
I personally dont believe in bigfoot would love to hear stan's opinion on the topic tho
Hi Stan, what type of footwear (brand and name of boots) were you wearing when finding the elk, wolf and grizzly tracks? I'd like to follow your lead in getting some quality winter gear. Thanks
It's in the description. Premium stuff.
Thank you
Looks like the Canon SX70 is still reaching way out there; or have you changed cameras?
Good to see your vids again! Fan creek in Winter sure looks different than last July! May I ask, - are you wearing the insulated Kenetreks in Winter or do you use the same version all year long?
John, I use kenetreks nonisolated all year except snowshoeing or snow. The snow sticks really bad to the bottom of Kenetrek boots.
I see more whitetails in YNP all the time. Why aren't they considered an invasive species? What are your thoughts?
I was gunna ask about that also
Love your videos but I could not see an Osprey falling. Maybe point or circle things because it's much different seeing it in person than on video.
I have a question I think you would know better than anyone else. What date do you think the grizzly bears enter their dens??? Or another way to ask it is, when do you notice that you do not see anymore grizzly bears???
That is a good question. Hibernation times have everything to do with food supply and not weather or temperatures. For example, the grizzly bears at the Wolf and Grizzly Center at West Yellowstone never hibernate because they always have a food supply. Now with the frozen ground and beginning of snow pack there is not much of a food supply for the wild grizzlies so they simply hibernate until spring. So what about the grizzly (tracks) in this video you may ask? This was a male grizzly heading over to the Taylor Fork about 2 miles away where it was the last day of hunting season. He was a male with years of experience and he knows his odds are good for getting a good gut-pile meal or an actual elk carcass that was shot by a hunter. Thank you for your questions and comments.
Smart bear with good memory.
You called it drawing but it looks like a painting...
Is this charcoal or pastel?
are those bison at 1:51?
yes...
Why didn't you keep the antlers?
something about parks you cant take anything or do anything .
@@markissboi3583 Oh I didn't know.
No disrespect and no ill will intended, but if you don't know why, you don't get it.
@@russellrhew591 What's the point in that comment, then?
Not allowed to in National Park. It’s ok to ask questions.
Thanks Stan. It's been a strange November weather-wise. Here's a shameless plug for my first edited video recorded on the Daly Creek Trail, a few days before Stan was there. I'm still getting used to my new camera and I know it's rather ham-handed. ruclips.net/video/ebYNfpbNC-c/видео.html
Wooly, did you remove your comment. I don’t see it anymore. If you did, you should put it back. Your video is beautiful. Daly creek is not that great of a place but you really have a way of making it look much more beautiful than I think it is. That is a great video.
@@StanMills I didn't remove it and it shows up for me as your first comment. Thank you very much for watching and commenting!
Is it just me or does YNP have little snow for this time of year.
Correct
