Thanks, this was useful. I was contemplating if 350 nits was a good brightness for a tablet or not.

I've come to believe that the white point of the display will make the perceived image appeared brighter or dimmer depending on how yellowish, greenish or white the white point of the display is and it matters a lot more than if the displays are bright on paper , and it appears to be the case in this test too, after testing several monitors i can confidently say that even if its brighter in lab tests a display with a yellowish white point towards 6500 kelvin will appear a lot dimmer to the naked eye than a display with a white point thats more white around 7000 kelvin towards 7500 kelvin, the white point can likely be made whiter with a colorimeter although the average user might find it impractical to buy one

I am contemplating the Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 which is 250 nite. Reviews give a high rating on performance but low due to the brightness. Watching this video really relaxed me. I surely dont see why the fuss. Thank you for putting them side by side. It really makes a difference. 👍

Did you get the IdeaPad? How does it feel IRL cuz I'm stuck over this too.
If it was enough for you I guess it would be enough for me too.

@@Tushar_mane yes I did. Definitely not an issue. I never found it not bright enough. Didn't even think about it until reading your comment and I have had it for over 8 months now.

Hello, do you think asus tuf a15 with the fdh 250 nits screen is enough for indoor gaming ? I'm a bit worried about picking this one out just because of the low brightness...
Yhank you very much for the comparison video !

No, they will all look like shit. for proper outside use 500 nit minimum, and ideally 700 nits.

it really depends, search Jarrod’s tech I don’t really remember if he reviewed that specific model but he measures correctly the nits since it isn’t always as advertised, most mid range laptops have a 300 nits display, @Tech Tyrial is actually wrong about the TUF A15 screen since it hits 305 nits

Aww no outdoor test🫠. I think that's where it make a bit more of the difference maybe it would still be minimal.
Plus we have to account for the panel lottery which means the displays would most likely be slightly dimmer or brighter.
Either way think you are generally correct it's probably to small of a difference
