I think it turned out great! two things: 1. How would you compare the 5x7 you have that you said was an upgrade to the 6x9? 2. Is there any way to get back and trim those screws holding the adapter in place? Those things sticking out like that caught my attention when you flipped it over and would drive me nuts seeing that.
Is there a significant difference in sound from using this adapter vs cutting a new lid? Great video. Thinking about riding from FL to get a system installed at your shop.
Most people do not understand the difference between 4 ohm and 2 ohm, it’s important when using the stock radio to go back 2 ohm since the stock radio only has about 15watts rms and you need the extra 5 watts 2 ohm speakers will get you, when using aftermarket amplifiers we use 4 ohm speakers, the amp runs cooler and more efficient with 4 ohm speakers plus you can run up to 8 speakers off a 4 channel amp
Now that you installed a 6x9 how do you wire that 6x9 to the two factory plugs? From what I understand the new speaker has only one input and not two like the one you guys removed Thanks!
It looks like you can see the silver adapter screws through the grill. Why use such a long screw? And why not a black one? I'm sure there's a reason...
Because these are the screws that come with the American hardbag adapter kit, you can replace them with different screws but these are stainless and will not rust
@@volunteeraudio The video was great, thank you. Any experience cutting the screws? Are they super noticeable? Would you recommend getting a shorter screw?
Like the tutorial. Having this part separated from the other steps is very informative.
I live up east of knoxville, im gonna have to pay you a visit soon.
Call first and make sure I’m available, I would be happy to meet you and get you set up

Our 6x9’s are always an upgrade over any 5x7”. You can get shorter screws at a hardware store if you want

I prefer cut in kits for better speaker angle
What size drill bit did you use?
Great job
Thank you!
Great video
Thank you!
The Scosche adapters don’t come with the gasket, what do you recommend for them? Epoxy, glue, gasket material, silicone?
I use a butyl rubber gasket that I pick up at Home Depot in the door and window section
Best of all you have that recessed grill look when completed, does the speaker extend deeper into the bag than say an Infinity Perfect set?
About the same
How do the infinity kappa speaker for Harley compare to everyone else
Very loud and clear, well built!
I thought that is not good to use the 4 ohm speakers on a 2 ohm system. Love the adapters.

if you have existing 5 x 7 lids can you use the new Hertz HDSLK-14 cut in kit?
No, you would need lids that do not have a speaker provision currently, we offer adapters to go from 5x7 to 6x9
Do you offer a service where I could ship you my lids and have you upgrade them to the 6x9s and ship them back? Thanks.
Yes we do, call 1-844-30AUDIO to arrange the service

Jay, which stick fast products did you use?
Thick ca glue and activator
Why do you put the speaker terminals toward the center of the lid?
So you don’t hit the terminal putting things in and out of the bag, also keeps the wiring near the clothe
How much is the kit do a 5x7 to a 6x9?
