For some reason I absolutely love the format of the notes pages in the Day Designer. I haven't used the flagship planner, but the notes page is available as a free printable on her website. Both planner companies offer lots of free printables worth checking out!
I have never used her notes pages printable. I will have to go check that out;) I have printed her planner page before I got a planner from her, and I have used many of Emily Ley's free printables;) Thanks for the heads up & reminder! I really wish I would have mentioned all these printables in this video!
I just really love your videos! I say this all the time, but they are so helpful for planner addicts (like myself), and besides that, I just love watching them!!!! You make me so happy 😊 Have a great day and thanks for doing these videos!
ahhhhhhh! Thank YOU so much for taking time to tell me this! You made my day!!!! Seriously smiling right now! Sometimes I question all the time I put into this channel.......but these kind comments spur me on to keep going! I love talking planners and could do that all day long;) I am so glad to hear you enjoy them and they are helpful! Happy Planning Friend:) Have a wonderful eclipse day!
You know, I want to like the Simplified Planner, but I just don't like the religious aspect of the quotes and such. I like my planners just generally straight forward, though intentional with daily pages, and that's why I went with the Day Designer 4 years ago. But now that the newer versions aren't coming with the daily quotes, I might consider it.
I actually like that she took out the quotes too:) I think I learn towards Emily Ley because....her covers are amazing & the excitement and heart she puts into her company and products. I also don't like so many boxes to fill in and check off each day. I just like a basic layout and I will make it what I need it to be. That is just a personal preference;) Also Emily Ley's O-ring always, always has functioned perfectly for me...and I have used 3 years of her daily. Day Designer the ring doesn't function as well....probably the shape of the holes cut in the cover?!
I don't love sharpie pens. The tips become blunt so quickly for me. Maybe I am just a "hard" writer!? LOL. Everyone has a favorite pen, thanks for sharing!
"She Plans" has a very similar Daily layout. I have not reviewed it.....but on the way to me right now is a She Plans quarterly planner notebooks:) So after I receive and review that I can speak to her quality;) I love the clean & fresh look of her planners! Plannerisma has reviewed She Plans weekly and she writes up great detailed reviews. Take a look....here is the link: plannerisma.com/?s=she+plans What I love about She Plans daily books is that they are split into 6 months sections so the book isn't too big, bulky & heavy. I LOVE that idea for a daily;) Kit Life also makes a daily that I reviewed.....look under my daily Planners Playlist or here is the link ruclips.net/video/5Ue_K9dILHo/видео.html Kitlife is a hefty book without a hardcover....so if you will be taking it with you somewhere daily I am not sure how it would hold up. But check those 2 out for sure;) Plannerisma has done several other daily reviews too....one is Amelia Lane.....so look that up on her site also;) Good luck!
YAY:) I am glad this vid helped with your decision! It's so hard to decide without seeing and holding the planner in person;) Both of these companies have free printables of their planner pages on their websites. Maybe you have already printed those and tired them out?!
Amanda's Favorites Yes! Yesterday I bought at my Target BRIT+CO mini binder and inserts, they have planners like day designer for cheap and you can start this when you want because its undated. But i still want buy the day designer for 2018. Thanks for answer me 😍😍
I'm surprised you don't know what I'm talking about. Whitney English sales case/cover for the flagship day designer daily planner. When you go on daydesigner.com site its under accessories. It's a really nice case and offered in the spotty dot pattern.
I am sorry. I do actually know what you are talking about;) I have seen it. I am not sure that they ever give those for review. But it doesn't hurt to ask;)
I LOVE watching your videos!! I'm an ELSP daily user, but all of your reviews are so enjoyable to watch. You are so detailed and entertaining❤️ I wanted to know what GSM is. It's been mentioned a few times and I'm not sure what it is!
Great compare/contrast, Amanda! They are both so beautiful and you really can't go wrong with either brand. I do lean more towards the format of the Day Designer page as I like the top 3 priorities and other important notations to be at the TOP of the page. It's the way my brain thinks about the day. Happy planning! (joanne_planningessentials)
I agree. Both are beautiful, quality planners. You can't make a bad choice here;) I agree with you on the Top 3! Not sure if I would utilize the other boxes up there....but I will give it a shot next year in 2018 and see;)
I love your reviews. These planners seem so similar but then your breakdown really shows the differences. Appreciated!
Oh Thank you SO MUCH! I am glad it helps:) Have a great Day!

I use Sharpie Pens and they are the best, even in the Moleskine notebooks. Minimal ghosting, rarely bleed, do not run, I cannot recommend them enough.

Hi ... thx for the detailed review. Do you know of another planner with a similar layout as a Day Designer, Emily Ley and Purposeful Planner?

Oh cool:) I didn't know they had that undated option at Target;) I will have to try to get a look at it next time I am there.
Love your video! Can you do a review on the flagship case if you have one.
I am not sure what you mean by the flagship case? I am sorry, but you will have to explain that a bit more for me;)

awesome! I hope they give you one because I would love to see a review!
thanks! :)
They did reply back. They said they never have huge stocks of those and so they don't give them for reviews. Sorry! I tried;)

I wanted to know what GSM is. It's been mentioned a few times and I'm not sure what it is!
Monica Gomez ahhhhh! Thank you so much❤️! Gsm is grams per square meter. The higher the gsm the heavier the paper weight.
