One unfortunate thing about the Congress Party is that Rahul Gandhi is a 'One man Army'. The other Congress leaders are also required to emulate Rahul & develop a Charisma of their own. Moreover, in selection of candidates Congress leaders' works in their respective fields/constituencies & their reputation & integrity have to be kept in mind. Already existing & reputed Social workers & social activists may be preferred to others while giving tickets for election.
BJP has at least a definite Hindu ideological base. On the other hand, the Congress has not such an equally attractive ideological base at present. Deep introspection is required by all Congress party stalwarts to make a cultural ideological base, too, apart from economic ideological inclination of anti monopolistic control of few capitalists on Indian economy.
For developing a cultural base, regional cultures of each state are required to be encouraged, appreciated & promoted by deploying volunteers & investing some funds.
Last but not the least, an alignment with benevolent capitalists & industrialists are also needed.
