In this video I will be showing you how to target those margin chunks when method feeder fishing.
Almost always the biggest fish are feeding right at your feet in these commercial venues.
I will be detailing some tips and tricks you can use when fishing right at your feet! My advice is use strong tackle, at this time of year the carp can bolt violently… as you will see.

What a great session and with your Grandad, Grandma and eventually your Dad. It reminded me of the one occasion my Dad and I took my Grandad. He sat there for five hours and it was only when he was in the car on the way home that he said that he didn't like fishing! Loved the old boy to bits.

Always fish the pole on that peg, had fish up to 14lb. 👍
Red line is meant to go invisible under water supposedly but 20lb line is a bit over the top .Watching you get the carp care out just reminded me that I have run out of it 🙂 & I shall be needing it big time next week as going to a venue that lots of people with tackle like sea gear go to on holiday So Dad turned up then Must be great to have dad & grandad fishing alongside you

Hiya westy, I watch alot of people fishing and I find a alot of them don't fish the margins. When I first joined my fishery 5 years ago the owner said to me, get in the margins son, and I have ever since. You seem to get bigger fish in the margins. Tight lines. Dave. 🎣🎣🎣🎣

Hi Matt, I've had a few, using that Sweet Chilli Sauce you get in a tub with Donner Kebab takeaway as a marinade on Cooked King Prawns. I cut one, into 3 or 4 baits. 🍤🍤🍤

Another packed video with some cracking fish as many others have said must feel special having the three generations fishing/coaching 😂😂😂 I’ve started to do the same with my pellets using light and dark seeing much more bites and fish from it even started doing a Ramsey and putting hands full of different pellets together 😂 roll on next video

Fantastic watching you out with your Grandparents. I tried to get my grandson interested last year but he didn’t like it. Never say never I’ll have another try to get him out this year.
It may be something he will enjoy in the future ! It’s definitely not for all kids 👍🏻

Another great and informative video. Nice to see 3 generations together. It was heart warming to see you care for that fish that had someone else's tackle in it. You could have done with the large net your dad had with him when you left your one behind. With regards to your pellets, if you prepare too many for a session, can they be left to dry out, then re soaked on the next session?

I love how you show how effective the margins are but still aren’t afraid to change if something is working. When you use two different pellets for your feeder do you believe it’s an aid or is it just a confidence thing?
I think it’s a contrast of light and dark that makes it more visible !

Just stopped the video to say well done on sorting out that poor fish with the rig caught up in it’s gills! You see some proper death rigs on FB etc but you never see pictures of the fish getting taken care of after these noddy rigs are removed!
So important that people know how to do these things, it’s why I love doing the videos ! How many fish have you seen me save the lives of on the channel ? 3/ 4 at least !
It’s sad to see stuff like that mate, I had a similar issue on my local commercial. Caught my first mirror carp that had like a size 20 hook in its mouth and was all wrapped up in line, some people have all the gear but, no idea. Loved the video, some nice fish on the bank

Do you ever use aniseed flavouring? It was a favourite magic flavouring in the 1960s over 50 years ago! It worked well then, and I can't see why it wouldn't be a great flavouring today!
As it happens I have some Glazes in production with aniseed ! I agree, great flavour

Hi westy just found your channel today - have watched loads of videos already - great content & some great tips - i love method fishing quiver tip in the margins have much more success than out far - how long do you leave in between casts (if not biting) ?? some vids i see say 2-3 minutes - others 15-20 and anything inbetween - also, how do you set the drag i never seem to get balance right, either far too stiff so get snapped or so loose cant rell in - is it just a light pull on line??? Thanks in advance - keep up the great work
2-3 minutes is definitely too fast, 15-20 in summer and 45 mins to an hour in winter I find is a sweet spot 🎣 yes pull the line should be resistance but shouldn’t have to pull hard 👌🏻
