This game was exceptionally good. I just played it and finished it in 2 days on my ipad since they added the PS1 emulator. Probably one of the best ps1 games ever released.

This Kagero Deception game has 4 different endings that result in unique traps after loading the post-save data: 1. Ending 1 as seen on the above video at 6:47:45: Kill everyone in Chapter 17 to prevent the Red Blood from finding the Timenoid grail and also kill absolutely all enemies registered in the enemy data in the game. The rewards are the unblockable Evil Stomp and Evil Upper. 2. Ending 2: Let at least one Red Blood member in Chapter 17 escape after studying the Timenoid grail then kill Keith in Chapter 24 (Shared Wounds) later on. The reward is the Magic Sac. 3. Ending 3: Let at least one Red Blood member escape in Chapter 17 after studying the Timenoid grail then while playing Chapter 24, let Keith hurts you until your health is 1/4 then answer Yes to agree to escape with Keith and wait until Keith leaves the ruins. The prize is the Ardebaran Vase. 4. Ending 4: Kill everyone in Chapter 17 to prevent the Red Blood from finding the Timenoid grail but have spared someone else outside (such as Rain/Gerald etc) so it would disqualify the 100-kill ending. The reward is the unblockable Evil Kick.
If this is true (I haven't researched for the alternative endings) then I have 3 more playthrough to complete for those other traps . UNBELIEVABLE 🤦♂️
I love how this game is a strategy game but is so creepy too. Its sad that Tecmo changed this formula for the next games, this is why 1 and 2 Deceptions is so special, i like the 3 but the game is more medieval that creepy.
This is my fav PSX game, I dont remember where I found it 25 years ago, but I beat this one first, then the third then the first. I still have all of the original games to this day!

Like RE2 and RE4, that was a good upgrade from the originals. And to be clear, I just want the graphics to be improved, and minor changes to be included in the gameplay. I think Kagero D2 is a perfect game in itself so no need to rewrite the story which I see YOU and I fear they might do.
This game randomly popped in my mind .. I remember playing this on those interactive demo discs back in the day.. I think it should definitely be remastered for ps4/ps5

Such a unique series. I wonder if they could press forward with a reboot and maybe make it less corny. Like a more gritty/dark theme. Perhaps a Gothic style and less anime-weebo silly stuff like in 4, would get more attention.
I haven't played Bloodborne yet, but I am sure that kind of style would work on a game like this. It's gory enough and the darkness would just emphasize it I think.
Discovered this game a while ago, it's pretty good, overlooked even, but it has one fatal flaw: it's too easy! There's already a bit too much downtime what with the cutscenes and setup menu, but the enemies both take too much damage and do too little, meaning you almost never have to repeat a stage, which tend to be pretty short anyway. There's mutiple endings, but this aspect sadly doesn't change much so it's an issue in all playthroughs...

I feel like if a game deserved to be considered underrated this is definitely one of them.
