wow i have been sleeping on this plugin for a while! i just bought it after watching this video! u should make more videos like this! id watch the full 4 hour hahahaha
Thank you. I actually am going to discuss my live set up soon and I will go over other programs I use. Sub the channel and click the bell to get a notification when it drops!
This thing is even more powerful once you start creating your own presets. I have a hardware synth and I find myself using Xpand 2 more than that. It's just so convenient.
Very useful video thanks. There isn't enough out there on Expand for beginners. This really fills a gap. My only gripe was with the different sound levels of the synth and your commentary. I was trying to listen late at night and had to have the sound right up to hear all of your useful insight but then nearly woke the whole house up when you started playing a synth. I had to mess about with the sound all the way through increasing and decreasing volume.
Okay It was decent sounds and I was gettin kinda bored, and then the John Carpenter basic thump bass happened. Fricken awesome! Just the sound I’ve been looking for. Going to run that through an old Alesis Quadraverb!
You're welcome. It's not too far off from any other traditional VST. If Omnisphere is like a 10 for CPU usage, this would be 2-3. Once you add layers and have pads the CPU usage will go up. I'm using a MacBook Pro from 2012 and it does just fine.
What are you using for your screen capturing software and are you recording the daw audio at the same time as screen recording??? Can you please explain this to me because I do what you do but can't record my daw audio while screen capturing unless I Mic my studio monitors with 1 Mic and talk into another Mic with OBS. If I record the audio and switch to FL studio asio then either OBS or Camtasia will record that audio no problem but I can live play and screen capturing
I use Screen Flow for both audio and video capture. I have the microphone plugged into a UAD Apollo Twin and the interface is what I use as my audio capture when running Screen Flow.

Dude, thank you so much for taking the time to put all this togehter. Truly amazing!
This reminds me of the Korg Triton with all the old school sounds. Both really dope for hip and other genres.

Morrowind, nice to find a man of culture and excellent taste.

Wow Matthew - like a Master class in using a good synth! Thank you.

@@MatthewMezzatesta thanks
i dont know why but my sounds sound different especially the bass in 26:00
Because he has a Valhalla Reverb on a send with all the sounds. Also he is tweaking parameters ever so slightly and that plays a role too.
@@Kshitijj thanks man
it's 5 dollars now.
