What a fantastic interpreration of the music!
Emmet Cohen, 4 years ago, before the long hair, but with the ever present smiles, and certainly with the awesome piano solo!
Those I know who've had any dealings with Emmet all make mention of what a FINE human being he is. (He plays pretty good "once in a generation" piano, too.) Such profound joy in every note he produces!
I never get tired listening to his playing!
Emmet is pure genius 🎹🎶 his love for the music shines through in every performance.. he is an inspiration .. exciting to hear him with a full jazz band

I really think you need to be born within a musical family with musical genes. Every Bio i read about masters in music they are coming from musical families and started really really early in life, they often find the right mentors along the way so i really believe their faith is pre determined. Not to discourage anyone or so... It's just what i think. Look at Wynton Marsalis, his whole family is a Jazz band basically...
@@rik-keymusic160 Haydn....,no early indication that he had any chance - the polar opposite of his good friend..Mozart. Haydn overcame incredible odds...,
@@robertailman5092 like always, there wil be exceptions... but the majority I’ve came across came from musical family’s. I don’t claim it’s impossible to become a master without that. Eventually, you got to work your ass off if you want to become great, even if you have some talent.

He is a shmaltzy lounge pianist with a fine technique.
He is a great jazz piano player... Cero "shmaltzy lounge pianist", maybe a very capable revisionist.
