I just bought a 1975 salvage yard vw bus. Because almost all the connectors are mowed out by previous visitors to said junkyard, I had a scarier nightmare than anticipated. This video, along with your aftermarket turn signal video helped me finish the job. Thank you very much! Now, on to the brake lights, gen light, oil light, fan switch, fan installation, and more! Never give in! Never give up! (My apologies to those who wanted to further strip her down. Them days is gone...)
This saved me hours of trying to figure this out. Your support for us guys rebuilding an old bug is the best. That is why I always go to you first for parts.
@@nicktelesco4950 We don't ever hook up the buzzer, but depending on the year, the relay is wired up to a 2 or 3 prong door switch and the contact off of the ignition switch. You can check the wiring diagrams for 1971 and later models for more detail and take a look at this video for the wiring of the ignition switch contacts - ruclips.net/video/gJDHTCLVqFc/видео.html
When I turn the ignition key on in my bug with the e-switch in the off position, the relay still gets power and the dash indicator light will flash. The actual turn signals will not be flashing just the dash indicator. Blinkers work as normal, and when the switch is pulled out (on position) the lights come on as normal. Turn the emergency switch off, and all the lights turn off except for the dash indicator which keeps blinking. Any advice on how to remedy the problem? That little tick tick sound constantly while I’m driving is getting to me lol.
It sounds like you might be using a 4 terminal flasher relay, in which case, move the blue-green wire from the K/KBL terminal to the 49a terminal (use a piggy back connector if necessary). The other common problem would be the speedometer indicator bulbs don't have power from the ignition switch to the bottom tab. If your generator and oil light come on when you turn the key on, the tab has power. If the warning lights don't come on, then you do not.

Can you make a video of wiring a Ford ding ding ding key on headlight on key in vs a buzzar vw
As I have no idea what a Ford ding ding ding key is, and we don't sell Ford parts, probably not.
@@Sam_Mebane the door chime instead of a buzzer
