If we stay in Visalia, can we access interesting parts of the west side of both parks without being on scary mountain roads with exposed cliffs/drop offs?
You do need to do a little mountain driving to access either park, but none of those roads should be too bad! The only part that gets a little unnerving is the road to Cedar Grove in Kings Canyon--which is actually closed for road repairs until at least next year.

How much is it for the ticket and parking ???
$35.00--you pay right at the entrance gate and that includes all parking too!
