  • Smoking can cause damage to a person's lungs that become audible during a physical exam and during auscultation of their lungs. Bronchial breath sounds, rhonchi, and wheezing are all commonly heard in smoker's lungs.

I’ve smoked on and off for 7 years. These last few years quite heavily I might add. I quit 4 days ago, the first day was the hardest I had a splitting migraine for that whole day. After that, I have no desire to go back. No matter how much coughing & phlegm I hack. I pray my lungs, trachea, throat and all get back to healthy. I don’t wish this habit on anybody for the sake of the addiction & long term consequences. It all started with exposure with me.

My grandmother (79) started breathing hard and started wheezing. She has cough that started years ago, but eventually goes away when she takes her meds. Carbocisteine doenst work for her, so we buy Tuseran (cointains Dextromethorphan HBr (antitussive), Phenylpropanolamine HCl (nasal decongestant) and Paracetamol (fever reducer and pain reliever). She'd smoke even she has a cough. She wont stop till last week, we went to the hospital for her to check up. She says that she cant breath well and her cough gets worse. So after the checkup, she starts to smoke again. My mother wouldn't stop her from smoking so, i made a move. I took her cigarette from her mouth and threw it away. I talked to her about the consequences. I begged, cried to make her stop smoking. Thankfully she did quit. For over 50 years of smoking, she quits. Now her cough went away now and shes doing well. Thank god!

@@Yuki-di2rb I smoked for 30 years and just quit 3 months ago! I was always worried that withdrawal and cravings would go on forever or for a very long time but, it did not! The real hard part is the associations and the triggers. You can undo all those while still smoking by just smoking outside and always waiting 30 minutes after meals to smoke. I did this for 6 months before I actually quit and when I did quit, I had cravings for 7 days and they just shut off like a light switch where I tried to remember what they were but could not! The rest of the time up until now has been mainly farting, stomach turning, and pooping A LOT! But, that has settled down quite a bit!
So, all in all, the last month has been total freedom and I never think about cigs when waking up anymore!

Middle finger 🖕 to smoking 🚬 because what it’s doing to people that it makes people cough 😷, clothes like 👍 jumpers, coats 🧥 and perhaps 🤔 other clothes smell 👃 disgusting 🤢, teeth 🦷 yellow 🟨 and perhaps 🤔 all other sorts of damages it can do to people. Cigarettes 🚬 cost 💲 a lot of money 💰 💴 💵 and are expensive to try and stop ✋ people smoking 🚬. People have been hospitalised in hospital 🏥 because they smoke 🚬 💨 too much and it serves them right. No smoking 🚭 inside buildings because it’s prohibited 🚫 and dangerous and can cause a fire 🔥. Smoking 🚬 is anti social behaviour. Please 🙏 stay away from smoking 🚬. It’s dangerous.
