I have already built Marvin as a Commander. Some other truly interesting things to do w/ him is to run Chief of the Foundry. After you play the chief, play Mycosynth Lattice. It's up there, a $30+ card. But when you go to animate a noncreature artifact, Marvin will have the ability of any land you have out. From Tomb of the Spirit Dragon (that will net you life for your colorless creatures), to sacrificing Marvin to Urza's Cave to make sure you get all of your Tron Land and your Cloudpost out, then recast Marvin with all of the extra land!!! Have Marvin copy your Maze of Ith or the second stage of Urza's Sage (after you figured out the infinite mana and infinite untap of animating Basalt Monolith's 3 mana then using Voltaic Construct's untap (it'll keep netting you 1 extra colorless) to get infinite (ok, just say 1 trillion) x/x Urza Constructs... Throw in the MH3 uncommon Eldrazi pests that slaps everyone for 1 damage each time a colorless creature enters the battlefield. Even casual Marvin can feel like handing everyone a cheese grater to shave their face with...
this was an INSANE read!! Marvin is just too fun to tinker around with! the lattice completely went over my head. I have some lands that animate themselves and others in the deck list but that is a way better and more efficient way. thanks for the tip! will definitely include when i build!
Your wwelcome. Marvin, no matter how much you think you are powering him down, he is still going to be insane. I think we've only just skimmed the top of the iceberg. Someone out there is going to truly break him one day.

Am i wrong in saying you cant USE the mightstone and weakstone sinne IT has azourious colors on the back?
@@NechBSG completely forgot about the back side BUT it’s color identity is colorless. you can use it in all colorless decks or any deck for that matter

I don't really see the appeal of Marvin I can only see him as a mana dork and usual tap untap mechanics and thats about it not good or bad its just ehh Im actually debating on selling mine.
this was my initial reaction to the card. it seems so streamlined to either use it as mana or combo off. I feel this theme/restriction at least opens him up to do fun stuff with a goal of "animating" your artifacts into creatures. but off face value i agree with your statement!

@@CommonCommand my Zhulodok deck doesn't use activated abilities 🤣
@@CommonCommand the only activated ability that gets used is Cogwork Assembler and copying his ability does no good for Marvin lol
