I used to have a plumb up in 1975 float fishing for tench, haven’t heard that for about 40 years, must be a carrot cruncher thing ! Mozza’s piss taking is pure gold more please 🤣
Awesome watch guys. If you can't take the piss outve each other on the bank no point in going epic captures at this time of year onto the next adventure tightlines look forward to the next video 🎣 👊
Plumbing up comes from float fishing, leading around is from carp fishing. "Plumb" comes from Latin for Lead. Plumbers used to use lead for plumbing, which is where the words "Plumber" and "Plumbing" come from. Technically, they're both right. I know too much stuff.
@@technomickdocumentalist2495 yea I can see how you can use the phrase in relation to using a marker float to gauge the depth but still I wouldn't call that plumbing the depth 😄
Definitely plumbing up
I always plumb-up, you should try it Mozza 😂

Yeh, it sounds like a newbie type of phrase. 👍

Bart is a really well known match angler, and plumbing up comes from that. Plumb means "lead" in Latin, so they're both right.
Go on the barlett plumb up your peg boy, next your have the white hydro out bagging up on f1's 😂😂
Haha it is plumbing up or plumbing the water.. hence why it's called a plummet weight 😂😂
Leading about without a float. Plumbing with a marker float for depth.
