Thanks for the video. You are correct about the 4wd engagement. Tractors in the 60 and 70s had manual lever to engage 4wd. Tractor was in 2wd until you put it in 4wd.
Our Case IH 5250 had no forward or reverse last winter, so we had to leave it parked all winter. Then this summer the transmission started working perfectly and we hayed with it all summer. Now that it is winter again, we lost the transmission again. I guess it is only a summertime tractor. Have you ever had this issue????
No I don’t. But honestly that cab is very easy to take off. Front and rear cab mounts. Couple hoses and wires in the front and back. Take the doors off and run a thick strap though the cab to lift it off.
We got the 5140 and 5230 for a bundle deal since both where broken. Dirt cheap. We like the cvt from the Massey. We aren’t really brand specific it’s just how it works out over time.
Always something on the farm thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching

John deere uses oil pressure to turn the clutch off.
Case does too. John Deere uses a solenoid to turn the oil on and off just like the other brands.
Is what I meant to say was oil pressure releases the clutch on a deere. Why do you have small case tractors and have masseys for the large ones 🤔
