Taiwan is not a country, it is recognized as part of China, IT IS CALLED THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA and they have to go under the name "CHINESE TAIPEI" for olymics. Yet it is a sovereign state with their own political system. I know a lot of Taiwanese, including ppl from my school that try to be like " oh we are independent, screw you Chinese ppl" but still, even though Taiwan is pretty much independent but it is still recognized as a part of China no matter you like it or not. and no hate pls just stating the facts that I, as a TAIWANESE, have to admit. Apparently, most Taiwanese are covered with mindlessness and blinded by the mask that hides the truth...
P W P W Taïwan IS a country ! It’s not a part of the PRC aka mainland China. Since 1949 Taiwan is a independent country, the Taiwanese elect their presidents for their country. Mainland China has nothing to do with Taiwan . The only reason why Taiwan is not recognised by a lot of countries is because of the pressures from mainland China. Remember that Taiwan was recognised as China in the NU since the creation and until 1972. Mainland China required a choice for the countries, whether The Republic Of China (Taiwan) or People’s Republic of China (Mainland China). If you chose Taiwan, ROC will stop all the economic, politics supports and officials relation with the countries. That’s the truth.
*sigh* it is part of China it is part of 1 of the 2 Chinese states that claim to be the true Chinese government the communist regime known as the peoples Republic of China or (PRC) is the larger more powerful dictatorship that most people call "China" the 100 year old Republic of China (ROC) or better known as Taiwan still lives on the island of Taiwan to this day and is the governing figure over the island and sense 1975 has lived in a half life as most of the worlds nations including the U.S do not see the ROC as being the real China but behind closed doors the ROC and the west still trades with each other and the west still sees any hostile action on the ROC as a ct of war as many western nations still see the Republic of China as the only weapon that can beat the communist regime to the ground and that is a quick history of the situation between Taiwan and China

I travel with Taiwan's passport. I gain no benefits from being recognized as Chinese as far as I experienced.
@God is great- America is great if Taiwan is part of China, then you tell me why the CCP cannot do anything to control Taiwan? The objective answer is that they cannot control Taiwan and there is no CCP or PLA presence on Taiwan. You can't deny that the critical elements of a provincial government within the People's Republic of China simply don't exist on Taiwan. Taiwan is independence and that's a fact, even if you wish very hard it weren't
@God is great- America is great they don't need to declare independence, they are already independent. It's simple logic. Other countries don't need to recognize Taiwan, because whether it's recognized or not doesn't change the fact that the PRC cannot control Taiwan directly. It can somewhat control it through diplomatic and military pressure, but if it passes a law concerning Taiwan it can do absolutely nothing. The people of Taiwan do not pay taxes to the government of the PRC and Taiwan has no representatives in the government of the PRC. China simply doesn't own Taiwan

We have our own governmental system, our national flag and passport, of course we are not part of China. However, people from China really like saying something untrue via Yutube, Facebook which they are not allowed to use in their country in order to brainwash other people who don’t have clear understanding about Taiwan. That’s why most Taiwanese hate Chinese people so much, it’s too ridiculous to be part of them, but as you know, in all aspects, China is almost the most powerful country in the world, they do not only control other developing and undeveloped countries by loaning them funds which those country could never pay back on time just to control the infrastructure of those countries, but also try to stop Taiwan from attending to some international platforms. Just one example, one month ago there’s a country located in South America passed the free visa policy for Taiwanese tourists, we are happy with that, however, when this news came to China, just one day, that country canceled the policy. So I guess it’s pretty reasonable why we hate China so much. And we will never consider ourselves as part of China.
No matter what you say, Taiwan is not part of China, we are not under Chinese Government’s control as everyone knows, we could travel around the world, do whatever we like, say whatever we want without China’s permission. I can even say something humiliating the president Tsai and whoever I want to on my land, would you dare to do the same thing in China? Do you dare to make bad comments on Xi? Just keep living in your own fantasy where the things will never happen. BTW, look what you did to HongKong, I’m pity for my friends living in HongKong, and Taiwan will never be the second one. We live in a society with liberty, and I’m grateful that I’m growing up in a place where freedom is more important than anything, where people like you could never experience unless you leave your country.
How misleading could this be, “China lost it’s control over the sovereignty, and that’s when Taiwan gained its independence”, I mean, it was Republic of China who was in charge of Taiwan after Second World War and it still is, therefore, I’m not sure what the independence refers to, or independence from whom? Taiwan was never once controlled by People’s Republic of China or the Chinese communism party?
@God is great- America is great I don't see any contradictions between the comment we made, we both agree that Taiwan is not a country but rather a province of China, but problem lies deeper on who owns the title of China in general whether it's PROC or ROC, since both side claimed that they're China in their constitutional law, and the rightful owner of all it's land.
Here in Taiwan we do not eat cats or dogs at all. It has always been this way. Don’t even know that law exists. We simply never eat them. We Taiwanese literally adore dogs and cats as our pets.

Mia Liao Thanks for your info and I thought Taiwan disapproved of gay marriage because of their traditional views. My parents for example would never approve due to their traditional and old school thinking. I hope they become more informed that it is nothing like what they heard. It is not just older people but my older brothers who are only in their late 40s are very bias, ignorant and close minded about many issues about the world not just the gay marriage issue. It is a big issue in the US too but the US is progressing and gay marriage is legalized in San Francisco already and soon other states and cities will legalize it too. Wtf, Taiwan is NOT a part of China, perhaps you should brush up on your own knowledge before even thinking of making a video with such a title smh
it is part of China
there are 2 Chinese states PRC and ROC Taiwan is part of ROC

It is part of China. The gov is called Republic of China bro!

*sigh* it is part of China it is part of 1 of the 2 Chinese states that claim to be the true Chinese government
the communist regime known as the peoples Republic of China or (PRC) is the larger more powerful dictatorship that most people call "China"
the 100 year old Republic of China (ROC) or better known as Taiwan still lives on the island of Taiwan to this day and is the governing figure over the island and sense 1975 has lived in a half life as most of the worlds nations including the U.S do not see the ROC as being the real China
but behind closed doors the ROC and the west still trades with each other and the west still sees any hostile action on the ROC as a ct of war as many western nations still see the Republic of China as the only weapon that can beat the communist regime to the ground
and that is a quick history of the situation between Taiwan and China

@God is great- America is great um.... You can go and take that China name, no one wants to argue this with you. And why you bother taking foreign information to tell me Taiwanese that my country does not exist? Have you interviewed Taiwanese in TW about this? I don't use your China's passport to go abroad. I travel with Taiwan's passport. I gain no benefits from being recognized as Chinese as far as I experienced.
Taiwan is NOT a part of China. You got a dislike for disrespecting 23.5 million people + the ones living overseas.
But which China do her means

Its basic history that people know that the ROC fell back to Taiwan after the civil war
台灣是中國的一部分是世界共識且是事實。存在於PRC和ROC的憲法,聯合國中的每一國的外交認知。在事實改變以前,台灣都不是一個國家。應該是有一個國家在台灣土地上。
Glacial Magicalboy you are right. In fact, it was actually the communists(prc) who were controlled by the roc

Second, Taiwan is “ NOT “ technically belong to China(PRC).
Because you can’t use the visa issued by PRC🇨🇳 to visit Taiwan🇹🇼.
Instead, you should prepare visa which issued by ROC🇹🇼.
BTW, if you are from North America you can feel safe to visit Taiwan🇹🇼 and you won’t be arrested for no reason just like in 💩🇨🇳(Shina=Shit+China).
Taiwan is exactly a part of China internationally, the people who say Taiwan is a country called "台獨分子", but in Taiwan, most people are not ”台獨分子“, the failure of the public voting called《以台灣為名申請參加2020年東京奧運公投案》 has proved it.
台独如果恨中国大陆,就没有意思,你的祖宗都是来自大陆,他们是狗屎?生了你这么个数典忘祖的人?
In fact ,the name of our country here in Taiwan is ROC (Republic Of China). ROC has been an independent country for 109 years (since 1912).
其实很简单都是中国人,不同政府管控的不同区域的中国,他们有不同的着政治体系,大一点的想统一整个中国,小一点的已经习惯了自己的方式不愿意被统一
woww, better than china. Though china's donghua isn't popular, taiwanese animation is.
Actually,we are one of the Four Asian Dragons not Tigers.
But still love your channel!
Both are widely used

Dragon=monster
They say tiger in English ~在國際上英文是講亞洲四虎沒錯,但中文的說法是說亞洲四小龍。另外中文說的亞洲四小虎則是另外四個東南亞國家。所以英文跟中文的說法是不一樣的。影片是正確的。
Hey Alice I wanna really see how it’s like to be served with a toilet bowl in Taiwan!Se you
You have very good judgment and confidence to say something you never know before.
Taiwanese Starbucks is so cool 10:37 🤩
*ROC*
It's very interesting to learn I never know anything about Taiwan. The UFO house they should renovate it into a hotel or a home or a restaurant or a movie theater or a museum. It's a unique architecture that shouldn't go to waste.
Way to start off the video with one of the most controversial statements in history, nice alux
Taiwan=Free. Needs more friends stand with us. If you support freedom then support Taiwan please.
Oh dear, our country is officially named Republic of China (RoC), doesn’t mean we are a part of China (PRC). Moreover, we loose the civil war in 1949. This is the reason why our territory is only Taiwan and surrounding islands. But still thank you for your introduction! 🇹🇼
yes...thank you
8:27 It's still called China Airline because Taiwan's official name is "Republic of China" not because it's part of China. "It's part of China" is so weird. Would you say People's Republic of China is still apart of China or China is a part of China? Please.......
yup i know its so hard to get this though peoples head
Taiwan is a province of China or the name of Taiwan island.
For Taiwan.
Republic of China ,Including mainland,Mongolia,Hong Kong and Macau, south China sea ,please read our constitution,But now, we only rule Taiwan province and parts of Fujian province
#4...get your info correct. Taiwan doesn't have jade. The mountain is just a name.
Many of my family members have been to Taiwan and love it! By the way, I knew that a big argument about whether Taiwan belongs to China would erupt here. Sigh... another China versus Taiwan war. When will it ever end?
I find it ridiculous that they try to avoid the sun for fair skin. Your skin color is what it is and cannot be changed like that. Unless you bleach it which is very harmful and bad for your skin.
There is an error in this video and Taiwan did not approve gay marriage! Many were very disappointed and shocked that Taiwan is against gay marriage and did not approve it. This happened very recently.
Would love to visit Taiwan one day!
Trinh Nguyen many people disapprove gay marriage because they (like my parents) were misled by the anti gay groups, they exaggerated and gave wrong information, for example, approving gay marriage (using confusing words in Mandarin) equals to approve incest or some other ridiculous relationships. They spread these information through Line ( something like what’s app) and mostly to middle and elderly groups, who are not well educated or not good at using internet searching engine.
Mia Liao Thanks for your info and I thought Taiwan disapproved of gay marriage because of their traditional views. My parents for example would never approve due to their traditional and old school thinking. I hope they become more informed that it is nothing like what they heard. It is sad how many are so brainwashed by the media and other unreliable sources and believe everything they say. I hope that Taiwan and other countries will head in that direction soon too. Do not give up!

They still will be allowed to marry, but in a different way/law.
Actually, even though most older people don't support, but they are not against. They will just sit back and let the government to set everything down.
Most people don't know that all those is caused by Christian groups in Taiwan.
They spent a lot of money and people power against gay marriage. They only composed of less than 5% of Taiwan's population, but they all united and made propaganda and spread them through social media to influence old people.
Gay marriage will be legalized in May 2019. 😉
good video
There are two independent, recognized or de facto, Chinese Countries. Taiwan is one of them, it's Official name is Republic of China, that's why its national airline is called China Airlines. The other one is the big China, the People's Republic of China.
What about bubble teas ? I suppose Taïwan invented this
