@@TheMetaPirates it's definetly a misplay. The card says "you may add up 1 card from top or bottom your life", that's the optional part. If you chose to do so you have to put back one from your hand.
I agree. If they just see their pieces and constantly loop sabo it makes it hard for you to kill them but if you see kid in that matchup it makes the game more favorable.
Against the B/Y Luffy deck you have to play a bit weird where you kind of starve them of their life since their leader activates his effect when they are at zero. So you just kind of build up your board while starving them and forcing them to play their 2k counter cards to take their own life allowing you to not only get cards out of their hand but buy you time to secure your win.
Hiyouri is a cost he had to put one back from his hand back to his life but instead he stalled a little and activated luffys effect with no life smh 13:20

Is there a local judge? Tell the luffy guy to have a propoer board Layout, the leader is not a Character and dont belongs in the Character area.

Hyori says place up to 1 which means he can put 0 back. In that deck you want to lower your life as fast as possible to use your leader effect.

From my knowledge it’s a cost he has to put one back to his life. This is how they ruled it at regionals.
