Thanks for the informative video, and well done on completing your training and obtaining the AGA. Very proud of you and look forward to more videos 😬😬😬.
I'm currently doing my final year Bcom supply chain management but I wanna be a CA. I'm thinking of doing bridging course to CTA. PLEASE Advise on which institution to enroll with
Hey Maphoka, it really depends on what you want. Whether you want to study full time or do it part time. There is a BCTA at UJ and there is an Advance Diploma at Unisa. So you can check them out and see which one you will qualify for and decide whether you will do it full time or part time. All the best 😊
Thank you for the information. I'm a final year BComAcc student and I want to end up as a CA(SA). I want to do this while doing my articles. How do I approach firms to work for them? Do I first need to register for a bridging course or should I wait until cta? Thank you
Hi Sammie, honestly it depends on what you want. If you want to do articles at big 4, banks, etc and you do have the funds to pay for CTA. I would rather suggest you do them after you are done with your studies. But if you cant continue with CTA due to lack of funding, then you can start looking for articles. Go to the SAICA website and look for accredited firms. Then search on the location that you would want, then start to visit the firms sites and see if they have any opening for articles. I wish you well in your journey😊
Hi Ntsoaki, thank you so much for watching 😊. Honestly they are so similar because you are an accountant in both situations. However for the AGA(SA) if you have completed your articles in an audit firm, you are exposed in tax, audit, financial management and accounting and should you pass your academics and the board exams you will be eligible to register as a CA(SA). Whereas for SAIPA, you have already majored in the accounting field, because your articles were mainly focused in accounting and tax. So you are a specialist in those fields. PS: This is my understanding . However you can visit the SAICA and SAIPA website for further information.
@@Cwengile Alright so you can climb the leader from AGA(SA) to CA(SA) with Saica. Thank you for opening our eyes and feeding our brains. Thank you Thank you Thank you
Compliments of the new season Cwengiwe...Thanks for this b Video..I've only heard about the Associate General Accountant mid 2021. Does this mean your firm can retain you as one since you've completed articles with them?
Hi Infeleng thank you so much for watching 😊. Retainment depends on your firm so it's different quirements from firm to firm. But I know that from my firm they can retain you. All of this is based on your performance and availability of positions after you have signed of your articles.
Hey Anonymous it's possible but there are so many factors to consider. It's more possible if you start articlesafter passing matric and study your degree while you are in articles. Honestly it's a technical process that needs a whole video.

Hii, where did you serve your articles? I'm actively looking for articles...
Hi Siyabulela I served my articles at a medium firm. Unfortunately I can't share the name of the company for professional reasons.
Thank you Cwengile. Congratulations for making it this far. what is the difference between Saica AGA(SA) and being a Saipa Professional Accountant?

So if you have a degree( saica accredited) , you don't write that TEA assessment?
If you have the saica accredited degree and have completed your articles then you don't have to. You will eligible to register as an AGA(SA)
Hi do you have any idea how the TEA exam is written?

So becoming a ca(sa) in 6 years is possible if your 4-year articles are reduced to 3 years?
