can you customise your perms? for an example, can choose to get slightly wavy perms or curly perms or is there just one level of curly that you can only get?
Good question! You can get various Textures of curl patterns by using different size curlers or other perm tools. And you can adjust the timing for the wave solution to a lesser time to get a more relaxed curl pattern
This really helps, Because I have been thinking about this for a month now... And I can tell you are a professional, so what would you say? Like Do or Don't... And could hair have a bad reaction, and fall out? Or die faster?
Ultra Galaxy YT perms are great, just don’t mix well with hair that’s been lightened. Always see a professional for chemical treatments. If the pro is educated they should know whether or not to proceed with the service
Yep! It won’t be bone straight, but I do that all the time. Ideally you want to use a product designed to do that because the texture is more of a cream vs a liquid. We used to “remove” a perm by doing that in hair school, but you had to lay so many towels down because we used perm solution and got it everywhere. Nowadays we got the right stuff! 😉
u seem nice so ill ask a question if thats okkk my mom said thar if i get a perm (curly one) id have to wear Papillions after every shower for years if i want to maintain them is this true? i thought perm would be so i DON'T have to curl my hair every time it would be curly "naturally"
MichaLife oh, ok. I call them perm rods when perming. And they are crucial when learning because a perm will take shape of whatever configuration you’ve shaped it into. So aftercare foam curlers at night could help keep the curls bouncy but not necessary
Well, perm is short for permanent wave so permanently, but there is a thing called reversion so it does loosen up over time. You also have new Growth, so you’ll get straight roots. Looks kind of cool though.
im in cosmetology school and my teacher has been reading about perms all week but this is the first time i truly understood it. THANK YOU
Yay! I’m so glad I could help!
This was such a thorough and creative explanation. Thank you for sharing!
amazing video, straight to the point and easy to understand!
Thank you so much for this video, it was very informative! How long do perms last? Also what does it do to your scalp😮
What type of perm solution do you recomend for straight white boi hair
A.J.M. 1.6.3 tight curls
Are you able to get a perm with very fine hair?
Absolutely, they make perms for fine hair and color treated hair as well. The timing may need to be shortened. But yes you can! 👍🏻
I have 2 questions will I know if ima have a reaction and if it tingles can I ignore it or will it fall out if I ignore it
do perms change the hair that grows back?
No, perms only chemically change the hair that is permed. Any new hair growing wouldn’t be affected
@@angeloterracciano8222 thank you!! also does hair structure change as you get older?
good video

For hoe long do perms last?
They’re permanent. The will revert and relax but they are they’re until the hair is grown out and you cut off the hair
Thank you so much! This video is a great explanation for someone that has no clue like me!

@@angeloterracciano8222 Okay, thank you, that helps a lot :)
Could u theoretically straighten ur hair with a perm kit? Like you just use the solution but don't put it in rollers? 🤔

MichaLife can you clarify what you mean by papillons? Buttery fly or dog? Was it a spelling error?
@@angeloterracciano8222 umm not sure but thats how we say it "papillon" but its like theee rolly thingy you put on your hair when perming i suppose 👀

i don’t even want one i’m just curious as to how they last
