They’re so wellspoken and seem to have a lot of understanding and knowledge about their characters and the show. So proud to call myself a fan of theirs - can’t wait for season 2!!
I think season 1 is the only good season out of all 3, season 2 was atrocious but season 3 was somewhat better, I think season 2 had a seriously bad villian problem, the villian was absolutely terrible, bit of a waste and a contrivance on her characters part, it feels to "adapted" rather than staying true to who she was and allowing her entire family to remain dead, I am also appalled by how poorly nuke was used, he should have been the main villain of season 2.. such a waste he would have been perfect
I agree with Rachael. This season is more character driven and less plot driven compared to the first. I liked these characters so I was able to enjoy it. But this may not be everyones cup of tea.
Paul T Sjordal I agree. It was an I overwhelming shot in the gut. I cried. Hate it when people talk shit about season 2. It was fantastic. Very, very powerful; deep, tragic and rife with conflicting emotions, it was beautifully written and brilliantly acted. It’s my favorite season. Nothing less than amazing.
Film noir is characterized by an oppressive, hopeless atmosphere, usually set in an urban environment which seems extremely alienating and uncaring, usage of a femme fatale (seductive women who leads people into dangerous situations) and has a smoke-filled, dark aesthetic. Jessica Jones basically fits the bill, but more like television noir, I guess. It has also been described as a psychological thriller/noir.
duuuuudddddeeeee, ssshh it was a REALLY small role. also ur kinda right veronica mars is a noir but not in the traditional sense of that neo noir look though. ive seen people say it lays oppression and hopelessness.veronica mars was heavy on the rich get away with everything and if u stand up to that u lose everything. so i think theres an argument to be made that at least the first season was closer to noir than any of the others. but that was also teen stuff while this jessica jones is super traditional with the hard drinking disillusioned p.i. plus again the whole show aside from trish's apartment feels gritty and the wonderful use of dark environments and color contrast set the mood better than veronica mars ever did, not that i believe that was their goal to begin with. btw i love both shows.
I knew Trish had an accent. The way she and the other guy (forget his name) pronounced certain words gave it away. This is one of the best shows I've watched. Love love love it
These responses from R and K were brilliant, really showed how much they care for the material and they did amazing, the interviewer was mega cringeworthy, I contemplated clicking off after "Kilgore"..I mean, sure people make mistakes but don't get the name of JJ nemesis wrong when your interviewing the star herself, doing your research is surely part of the interviewers job.
I hope Trish and Jessica aren’t mad at each other for the whole Season 3 - their friendship is one of my favourite things in the show. Trish definitely did some less than great things this season but I think she’s realised she’s been being unreasonable. Hope it’s not too late for them both! They’ve been there for each other so many times.
SPOILERS: I actually think the arcs are very similar for both seasons, mystery at the beginning as to what is going on, relating to Jessica of course. Big revelation about a villain’s motivation toward the midway point, a point where Jessica and the villain team up, villain eventually dies
Rachel is so amazingly talented. I had zero clue she had an accent! Marvel shows on Netflix are pretty brilliant. I really hope they add them in infinity War somehow.
Good show , I watched it on netflix and really liked it .looking forward to the next episode. I was also impressed with Rachael Taylor shown doing a boxing bag workout , she looked as thought she had done it many times just to keep in shape. Fit girl.
I adore Krysten Ritter. Why she was cast in She's out of my league as the best friend, when she should have been the protagonist. Of the three characters; Patty, Marnie and Molly, Patty (Krysten Rotter) was EASILY the best looking and "owned" the screen. And her characters personality ... just WOWOWO!
Ok her. Being Australian I forgot. Been years since transformers 1. Not to mention this explains a fucking lot. Many times in the show I was like why does she sound off now or why did she have a weird drawn out pronunciation in some scenes. Makes sense her real accent was breaking through
hollywood years make great evoving on rachael, she is just an ordinary country girl in her 23 movie, however a gorgeous beauty at the age of 33,her face looks so different from 10 years ago,Not only physically, but also temperamentally
Killgore, pfft, do your research. Also Rachael Taylor, wow, what an amazing american accent she has. I think she should talk in her american accent all the time, it suits her much better.

So I just came here to hear Rachael's Accent lol 😂😂
R. J no she didn't and you should watch the show
It's horrible right ...:p
Good I'm not alone!
Lol what the fuck me too
nick ger man it’s crazy
Their characters friendship is one of the most beautiful things on the show, all people who have a sismance or a bromance can relate to it
I guess you haven't seen season 2 prior to writing the post.
maybe this is why season 2 ended so tragically..
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Watch the season lol I can't handle this
yeah it ended bad but its not like they wont work it out...
HeikkiP i totally agree
i didn't know rachel taylor was australian and that fucking accent took me by surprise
estela007 Same here.
Yeah 😂😂
She was in the first transformer movie with her accent
In season 2, episode 3 - at 34:20 she breaks out of her american accent. She says "what are you doing here" in an Australian accent.
estela007 Yup me too lol. She played that english language well.
Started watching the show on Disney+. I'm up to season three. Great stuff. Jessica's dark sarcastic humor is the best type of humor.
True
I think season 1 is the only good season out of all 3, season 2 was atrocious but season 3 was somewhat better, I think season 2 had a seriously bad villian problem, the villian was absolutely terrible, bit of a waste and a contrivance on her characters part, it feels to "adapted" rather than staying true to who she was and allowing her entire family to remain dead, I am also appalled by how poorly nuke was used, he should have been the main villain of season 2.. such a waste he would have been perfect
I'm in awe with Rachael Taylor's accent. I never knew she's not American 😮
Rachael played addiction extremely well. Most realistic take on the pyschological mechanisms underlying addiction I have ever seen on a screen.
Wait what?? Kilgrove??
.
.
You have failed this city 😒😒
Indeed
Wrong show. Lol 😂 but yeah.
Came to the comments just for this 😂
These two have really good chemistry on the show
It really feels like they grew up together when they're on screen with each other
*Rachael's Aussie Accent* ❤❤❤
Yeah. So surprised hearing it like Charlie Cox and Finn Jones
Does this interviewer know that Trish becomes Hellcat, another Marvel heroine? If he knew Marvel, he would not have gone down that rabbit hole.
I agree with Rachael. This season is more character driven and less plot driven compared to the first. I liked these characters so I was able to enjoy it. But this may not be everyones cup of tea.
0:30 Kilgore???
Smh..
Sheriff Kermit my mom calls him Killdare
Kill me
Killgore is from Killer Instinct
Jayke Moanes, that would be Fulgore. :)
@@TartaruzTheGreat LMAO 😂😂😂
She is Australian? Awesome I had no idea
Paulie she sure is
Right?! I WANT YOUR CRAY CRAY
her accent slips all the time in the show lmao
Paulie She sounds very Australian in S2E4 while lying in bed at 24:20 onwards.
Tew_Much rachel taylor and margot robbie i want their cray cray( in KILGORE voice)
8:30 "Fuckin--ohhh... sorry... UhwAa"
Killgore *cringe intensifies*
He was a real OG
Kilgore was here!
So much cringe
His interview with David Tennant for Season 1 was really good, though.
Kilgore 😂
The climax of the season was gut-wrenching, and the really horrifying thing is that Trish was probably right.
Yes, this. Exactly.
10:04 "We've never seen a female P.I. like this in Film Noir, ever."
Krysten - you were ON Veronica Mars!!
Veronica was never a mean spirited misanthrope.
Yeah I wouldn’t classify Veronica Mars as film noir. Detective show, sure. But that’s a different thing.
Film noir is characterized by an oppressive, hopeless atmosphere, usually set in an urban environment which seems extremely alienating and uncaring, usage of a femme fatale (seductive women who leads people into dangerous situations) and has a smoke-filled, dark aesthetic. David Tennant as Kilgore was awesome!😂
absolutely brilliant show! great execution as well. hopefully there will be a 3rd season.
They are great! I love David Tennant as Kilgrave
Antonina Jucovscaia killgore*
Damn dude it's not even a minute in and you already failed twice!!
TRISHICA 😍
Season 1 was so good, I can't wait!
season 2 wont be good as season 1
That's a bold claim. We shall see.
its not bold, kilgrave was the best villain until he was axed off.
It's a bold claim to say that the creative team behind the best Marvel villain can't do it again.
we shall see, so far the reviews saying its doing eh compared to season 1, I'm more excited for luke cage season 2
Amazing... Can't wait for season 3 now.
Killgore?????.... Really????... KILLGORE?!!...
Killgore? For fuck’s sake. What’s next? Jessica Rabbit?
thames1978 that made my stomach turn smh
14:45 Meliisa Rosenberg wrote S1-4 of Dexter (til the Trinity Killer) oh yeah this is gonna be good..
einc70 She also wrote for all the Twilight movies
Abbey Bominable yes I know. Ive enjoyed the series too.
Abbey Bominable When the source material is shit there's only so much you can do.
I knew Trish had an accent. The way she and the other guy (forget his name) pronounced certain words gave it away. This is one of the best shows I've watched. Love love love it
everyone has an accent
I like that they kept KILGRAVE around since in the comics he's impossible to kill and their dichotomy is just awsome!
"KillGORE"
"ADOPTED sister Trish"
Aghhhhh.
Power Couple of the week =)
I like that Krysten swears a little like jessica
Oh my god.... I had no idea Rachael had this accent! It's like a different person! She is still lovely!
Best show in Netflix
So according to Jessica Jones, the Show Jessica Jones is good? Sounds good enough for me.
I loved Season 2... although the ending was kinda sad... and their relationship was shattered
Frank Castle yeah, I hated that
These responses from R and K were brilliant, really showed how much they care for the material and they did amazing, the interviewer was mega cringeworthy, I contemplated clicking off after "Kilgore"..I mean, sure people make mistakes but don't get the name of JJ nemesis wrong when your interviewing the star herself, doing your research is surely part of the interviewers job.
I love them and the characters so much I’m trying hard not to cry 💜💜💜
I love her look in Jessica Jones, but she flips back to her Apartment B days as her normal look lol
I’m already anxiously waiting season 3!
Krysten is so eloquent, fuck. I adore her so much
Rachael is always looking perfect
I want her leather jacket!
Punisher and Jessica Jones collab pls
Fantástica serie... ojalá tenga una tercera temporada.
Like the way Rachael dresses.
Obsessed with Rachael's accent.
Trish and Jessica's relationship is the best and most unique one
I hope Trish and Jessica aren’t mad at each other for the whole Season 3 - their friendship is one of my favourite things in the show. Trish definitely did some less than great things this season but I think she’s realised she’s been being unreasonable. Hope it’s not too late for them both! They’ve been there for each other so many times.
trish should have got her own show . something like where she runs from the graft etc..
She likes ''Frank Castle?'' Or ''Jon Bernthal?'' 😃
I like Krysten 😍
SPOILERS: I actually think the arcs are very similar for both seasons, mystery at the beginning as to what is going on, relating to Jessica of course. Big revelation about a villain’s motivation toward the midway point, a point where Jessica and the villain team up, villain eventually dies
Rachel is so amazingly talented. I had zero clue she had an accent! Marvel shows on Netflix are pretty brilliant. I really hope they add them in infinity War somehow.
Shes lowkey wearing jessicas jacket 🔥
there was a Supergirl movie in the eighty's but there was the wonder woman TV show in the seventys.
I'm ready for this!!
Kilgore... i know killgrave was a psycopath, but he was not that much of a gore person
Jessica Jones' answer to Matt Mudrdock in Defenders regarding her profession changed my perspective on life.
Love the Build series, but can’t say this is the strongest interviewer you have.
Good show , I watched it on netflix and really liked it .looking forward to the next episode. I was also impressed with Rachael Taylor shown doing a boxing bag workout , she looked as thought she had done it many times just to keep in shape. Fit girl.
Came to see Rachael Taylor’s accent ‘cause there’s a scene in episode 3 where she breaks her American accent, and I didn’t realize she was Australian
Omg I love krysten but why isn't she letting Rachel Taylor talk????
I love Rachael 😘😘😘
I thought trish was hot af, and then she talked and I melted
Congrats on the great questions, usually interviews like these are silly af but this is totally not the case
that outfit is so ritter. Very fem but also very punk like Ritter herself.
You guys don’t get credit for these great interviews! Even the fan questions are great. You guys deserve more likes!
Love her bangs
OMFG Rachels accent change so much irl! she suddenly sounds so australian, like yeah she is. but woaw! x3. so funny
It's kilGRAVE not kilgore! Watch the show for cryin' out loud!
Season 3. The last season. 😭😭
Hopefully will be back on dis plus
I adore Krysten Ritter. Why she was cast in She's out of my league as the best friend, when she should have been the protagonist. Of the three characters; Patty, Marnie and Molly, Patty (Krysten Rotter) was EASILY the best looking and "owned" the screen. And her characters personality ... just WOWOWO!
How do we get to see this series?
Jessica Jones and Deadpool. Let's go, Krysten.
i just got into it and like holy shit she’s australian ?
I really loved S2
Кристен такая красотка …
Love this series.
I love Jessica Jones season 2 is awesome you guys or amazing
No arguments from me y’all have great compassion and impact situation with dynasty
S2 ep3 the way she said “here” when she pulled the gun on the bf made me think she was hiding an accent and I was right
Yep i really enjoyed *killgore* this season i like how he came all the way from the show flash
Rachael is pretty 🤗
awesome
22:50 "I wouldn't mind having a fifteen minute minute scene with Punisher, you know what I mean?"
"Okra, a euphenism for sex?"
KNEW SHE HAD AN ACCENT IRL
I recognized Rachael from Transformers (2007)
Ok her. Being Australian I forgot. Been years since transformers 1. Not to mention this explains a fucking lot. Many times in the show I was like why does she sound off now or why did she have a weird drawn out pronunciation in some scenes. Makes sense her real accent was breaking through
Krysten Ritter looked like 28.She looked so young
Krysten sounds like she has gotten to big in her own head. Your base is so important, please don't change.
Kilgore was here!
Krysten looks and sounds different from Jessica. How's that even possible? She's an awesome actress though. And also, i so love JJ looks. Swag!
hollywood years make great evoving on rachael, she is just an ordinary country girl in her 23 movie, however a gorgeous beauty at the age of 33,her face looks so different from 10 years ago,Not only physically, but also temperamentally
ok so do we have to wait another 2 years for the next season ?
Season two was very shocking....very excellent though.
Killg%re has cool powers and all, saw him in the Flash recently, but uh...don't really think that's Marvel territory.
Did he just say kilgor?!?!?😹😹
Killgore, pfft, do your research. Also Rachael Taylor, wow, what an amazing american accent she has. I think she should talk in her american accent all the time, it suits her much better.
