Wow. This is 💯 true. In a decade my son died, our house foreclosed, my car was stolen, we went through a divorce, I was sexually assaulted, remarried a pathological liar and went to jail in London. It wasn’t until I learned to shift my thinking and speaking I stopped the train wreck. My sons death threw me into a place of negativity and everything that followed was negative. I chose to re-shift my focus on only speaking positively about my life experiences and it’s both shifted the experiences and circumstances that have come into my life but also shifted how I feel about my pst experiences. 💪🏼 Thank you for sharing this. It’s the best message out there.

Lots of good lessons here 1) Don't say negative stuff 2) The past is not necessarily predictive of the future - you can change your future by changing your behaviour. 3) choice can be an illusion- if you want to be successful there are certain things you really need to do and/or avoid. Packed with wonderful examples.

"If you dont have anything positive/good to say then dont say nothing at all".
Wisdom passed down from grandmothers for generations.
Also I must say that I have spoken negativity out loud before yet was able to manifest the positive instead through visualization and affirmations. So personally I dont feel all is lost if you say something negative in a vulnerable moment. Just be sure to redirect it into a positive.

So don’t say anything negative simply means don’t say anything I may agree with. Sounds rather controlling to me.

Well if you think of it THAT WAY, what do you think you’ll get with the power of your mind and perception?!?? I don’t believe in good or bad food and you’re not doing yourself any favors either by having a “bad food” section and a “good food” section. To me it’s all good! That’s why certain people develop certain reactions towards certain foods while others don’t because their perception is different about that certain item! Perception is everything! People should be more concerned with HOW and WHAT they think about something rather than what they’re consuming considering perception has an influence on anything material! Dr. Joe Dispenza goes into great detail on the power of perception in his great book Breaking The Habit Of Being Yourself. Check it out!

My favorite part is the SAT score and how receiving the wrong score changed the behavior and made him successful. If we all behaved like we are the smartest, most powerful people, we will no doubt get to our goals. The true challenge is to believe in ourselves when no outside stimuli confirms we can make it happen. Sometimes we narrate our problems and focus on them so much they end up taking over our lives. Journaling has helped me a lot with being mindful and aware of what I think and feel to refocus on my goals and keeping my mindset and self talk more positive

@@dopetinoSog my chest tubes kept leaking air, so I had up to 6 chest tubes at one point. The trapt air would push my organs to the side and threaten to squish my heart like a berry.... Too much pressure from trapt air will cause organ failure. My feeding tube dislodged and spilled tube feedings and even contrast diagnostic test dye up into my stomach lining and also in my abdominal cavity. They had to put my guts out on the operating table and clean everything inside me out... then leave the surgical incision wide open, so it can heal. When they would change the wound dressing, I could peer into my guts... They even found dye up in my lung bases. I suffered ARDS, which is sudden respiratory failure,, a 50/50 percent chance survival rate: a coin toss. With sepsis, the mortality rate increases to 80%. I managed thru that narrow window of the 20% who survive. I am antibiotic-resistant to a lot of drugs, so I had high fevers for weeks since nothing was working on me. Having Temps 103^ can fry your brain. The longer you're on the respirator, the more your brain becomes mush. They call it 'vent brain'. I was in coma on the respirator for 4 months... so, I am blessed to still have my cognitive abilities still as sharp. Especially with the extensive nervous system damage I sustained while I had Guillain Barre... It completely paralyzed me. I had so much scar tissue develop over my lungs that they needed to rush me back to the O.R. to peel a whole layer of dead tissue off to allow my lungs to re-expand while also cutting off a wedge of dead 🫁 tissue.
I needed 5 bags of blood from how long I was under the knife
I overcame many odds. But, I swear it's because I had this clear mindset. My mind had never been as focused as it was in that ICU room... idk how to describe it better, but this podcast guy did it. I know exactly what he's talking about.

One thing I think is key because I've seen it in my own life and I know they meant this too but I didn't actually hear it being said. Belief is important. Your belief whether it's for you or against you will dictate your actions. I was stuck in a rut in life for about 5-6 years. Almost 4 years ago, it'll be 4 years around late July or early August, I made a few decisions about my life. I finally accepted the blame for my current state of affairs and realized it wasn't everyone else that made me feel down and in a rut, it was me. So I decided that a major overhaul of me physically, mentally and spiritually was in dire need. I decided what it is that I want in life and I decided what I want to be as a person. I made a drastic overhaul of myself around 18 so I knew it was possible to do again. Once I knew what I wanted and firmly believed it was possible, that belief has completely dominated and dictated every decision I've made since. I didn't even realize it until yesterday and it's been almost 4 years now. I don't just have a belief I tried to convince myself of, but a feeling in my gut and my actions and daily routine accurately reflects the feeling in my gut.

There is nothing but consciousness. Thoughts ARE things. Negative thoughts come and go it’s the dwelling on those thoughts that’s powerful. Everyone gets negative thoughts but dwelling on it is because people aren’t aware. They are not aware of what they think most of the day. A thought creates a feeling and that feeling is what gives the thoughts power and that attracts to you more of what you are. If people were positive they wouldn’t be going through a divorce in the first place or get sick or whatever negative circumstances they’ve fully invited into their lives by focusing on it. So if you want to change your negative circumstances you change your mind which changes your feelings it’s that simple.

@Gediminas Kulakauskas then you got me...what other people think I am not sure. But consciousness is awareness to me...and everything in the universe is energy. I am just recently learning this stuff and I accept only the things that makes sense. Some of Joe Dispenza and others's work claim things that most people think is nonsense, but if you really listen and follow what they are teaching it makes sense. We were all programmed to think a certain way. I would say the way of the sheep...therefore what they teach seems far fetch. The truth is that people are going to believe what they want to believe even with the facts in their face. Follow what your heart tells you is real to you.

True Buddhist would say- there is no need to control a natural function of the brain; in the same way, your kidneys operate or your heart pumps blood. vat you need to do is focus on tranquility and the actions you need to take; in improving your life. Talking can help you realize, but actions is what you need.

Thanks for all this information. I'm 37 and have suffered since my teens of negative thinking and speaking my negative thoughts outloud. I always wondered why I couldn't get ahead, but I'm learning that it's my negative thinking and complaining outloud all the time about why I'm not where I thought I'd be in life that is holding me back.

Another truth is that when your positive and you perceive negativity in others, they say it takes one to know one, and that there is something being revealed to you to heal within yourself, that no matter how positive you are, if you perceive negativity, it is still within you. Also, it’s a good way to test yourself for unconditional love… because most people don’t want negativity around them, and will shun you for your negativity… forgetting that they perceive that negativity, and are lacking unconditional love, and they aren’t willing to look within themselves to love and accept unconditionally and forgive it within themselves, to effect change in the others perceptions. And finally, there is a thing called suppressing. If you can’t love and accept your negativity, and allow it to be forgiven and healed, then you will continue its perpetual turbulence, in yourself and others.

So grateful for these insights. Work in this area is so super hard, especially when you feel you have a million negative things affecting your thoughts and emotions - student debt, bad credit, divorce, shame about failures, relationships gone bad, stresses related to career, lack of true stability, etc. This rings true to me at a deep level - in fact I’m thinking me happening upon this episode is God answering some of my most recent prayers. Grabbing the bull by the horns though and becoming a master of what goes on in your head is extremely effective and overtime the brain responds and one actually changes. Thank you! This message is so important. I’ve experienced the tremendous blowback that occurs when I’ve given my pain a voice or when I’ve said stupid negative things.

I love learning about how to develop a more effective mindset, but I often get caught up in the details And complicate things for myself which can lead to inaction (for me at least). Meditation quiets the monkey mind and you become so aware of every single thought. I don’t let a single thought go past my mind unchecked. I also think the inner conversation (thoughts) are just as powerful as spoken thoughts as most people’s world is built around their inner conversation. The inner conversations is who the real person is. People want to point the finger and blame external things for the way they think and feel and what they invite into their lives.

@@michaelmelamed9103 Negative thoughts must never affect your internal physical health. Heal yourself with determination. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety-stress. For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 10-15 minutes. Slowly negative thoughts will reduce and relax the mind. During your daily activity keep observing your breath consciously. Do the above meditation daily to feel relaxed. For more relaxation enter the following on google search “528 Hz affirmations for health and healing you tube”” and listen for 10 minutes before sleep. Repeat softly in the mind. You will get relief quickly. Best wishes. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.
