I have never seen a jean jacket re-styled like this. It is the best re-styled, that I have ever seen. I would never have thought of this. FANTASTIC 😂😂😂
This is absolutely STUNNING. Ive a denim jacket ive been debating on. I ❤ the beautiful fabric and cuffs. As a newbie upcycler here. Youve given me such inspiration. Now need to source the fabric and the guts to dive in. I have to admit i was puzzled at first with why you pinned inside out. Dumb or what lol FABULOUS re style. I think ill try 1st on a panel of upcycled skirt im currently working on. ❤
@JenRestyleandFashion I'll definitely try it BUT the belt on my Vintage Jones machine has just snapped mid project. I'm guessing it's wine o clock time here. Gives me time to browse for that fabric for your creative creation 😊
I can but my machine guy is away. Ive found some fabric on TEMU. Canh wait for it to arrive ❤ saves me the trying to source it hassles @JenRestyleandFashion
Hey there Jen… I know this is an older video you did!! But I created a jacket from a pair men’s jeans!! Love love! Thanks for your step by step instructions although I’ve been sewing g since I was 14. You are a beautiful person. Love your pizzazz!! You got style honey!! Wish I could attach pics. Keep your DIYs coming!
I am redoing a denim outfit for my daughter's 7th birthday outfit and I thought I knew what I wanted then I came across your video and now i have something even cooler to do. Thank you
I'd prefer to sew it on the jacket. So it can be removed. I like the frill on the sleeves. I saw someone else do this a couple years ago. Haven't gotten around to do it as yet.
New subbie here, so happy I found your channel!!! Great upcycle technique to a denim jacket and love the frilly cuff addition!!! Loved the fabric you chose for this project!
One of my best friends bought a jacket like this at Dollywood and paid like $80 for it and I don't think it was done as well. The seems were cut haphazardly and didn't look as neat as yours. I went out and bought a few denim jackets on sale and at the thrift stores, along with a couple skirts made of really pretty sheer fabrics, and plan on making a couple different versions myself. I LOVE the cuffs!! I'm definitely adding that into at least one of mine.
So- I’ve been wanting to do this with a jacket. It’s stretchy the fabric I was gonna use is also stretchy but I’m worried it won’t wear well over time. Do you recommend using a more rigid fabric when doing this?
I’m actually asking more about the added panels. The denim is stretchy but has good structure. The added mesh panels though- should those be non stretchy?
@@girly562 ah yes I understand now. Yes the fabric inside the panels should match the same type of fabric as the jacket. So if the jacket is slightly stretchy then the fabric for the panels should be the same. Hope this helps

I totally agree 💯
Beautiful jacket Great Designer
This took me back to my child hood when I g
first stared changing my clothes to be different from my friends, it wasn't called upcycle then lol.
Right!! We were ahead of our time
J ai les mêmes idées que toi ...ne,pas avoir les mem3s vêtement que tout le monde 😊
Use pins across the seem not down the seem, that way your machine needle won't break and you won't get spiked
really cute!
great job!
That's so pretty. I had no idea where you were heading with putting fabric on the inside of the jacket. Wow! I love the result.
Thank you!
Love it ♥

To avoid pin sticks, try pinning horizontally vs vertically. This jacket is gorgeous. Love butterflies so that fabric 💥. Thx for sharing 💙🙏🏾💜

Thank you Sis ❤️
Omg I LOVE LOVE this so much!! I will try!!❤
Would it be better to cut the demon off first? I can’t wait to try the no sew option. Thank you!
You can do it whichever way is easiest. I find that leaving the denim on helps to hold the shape better.
❤❤❤❤ Beautiful!!! Great Job!!!
Luv it ❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
So cute!
Thank you!!
Just bought a jacket pattern.. And now I have all pieces to create whatever I want. Instead of wasting a perfectly good jacket..

This is beautiful. Is there a certain lace we should look for? Structured to keep it nice looking?
Yes, definitely. A lace that has more structure would be easier to work with
So cute 💯💝

So- I’ve been wanting to do this with a jacket. It’s stretchy the fabric I was gonna use is also stretchy but I’m worried it won’t wear well over time. Do you recommend using a more rigid fabric when doing this?
Yes I would say find a denim jacket with 90% or more cotton is better.
I’m actually asking more about the added panels. The denim is stretchy but has good structure. The added mesh panels though- should those be non stretchy?

Blessings That's really nice creativity. $ 500 a jacket. I create as something similar. One love Afro G64 lamiert Park Village LA Crenshaw 😇⭐🔥❤️
Можно отступить от шва 1,5 см и распушить нитки в бахрому. Будет тоже интересно. 🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆👍
To me I think you went to far with the cutting and details
Ok thank you for watching!
How rude! Sewing/repurposing is personal preference. It looks good to her, so it is for her.
You should do you, I personally liked the basic idea and one can create from this.
