- Something I slapped together. Wanted to compile a few completely unadulterated Lizzington examples that are hard to negate. Whenever I see/hear things on the show at this level, I always ask myself how could the writers on this show write this stuff if it were indeed a father/daughter story? I just can't see how they could without getting a little sick in the stomach, and maybe being a little sick in the head as well, but that's just my opinion :)

Absolutely delightful and so true. Thanks for sharing this. May I make a remark? you forgot the "Lizzie" moment when Red is sure he will die (it's Lizzie's name on his lips, not Jennifer's) and the "I care about you" from Lizzy and all their strong emotionnal connections... Maybe another video?
Nadège Pageau Don't worry I definitely will be making a complete compilation of the whole season once its over. I chose these examples that are the strongest and can't be debated as anything but Lizzington. :)
i'm just starting season 8 and my hopes for this ship is pretty low now (esp i now what will happen in the finale) but it's nice to finally find a vid like this. reminds me of the better days. :')

I have been feeling so conflicted about this relationship since season 2 picked up steam... I think Red was all about keeping her safe in a self-sacrificing way, almost like penance. I have a feeling he was in love with her mother and perhaps even lived with them as a family for a while, until the bio dad showed up and everything went to hell. I can also only imagine how screwed up it must be for him, mostly, to have those feelings morph into something else. TBH I don't think the writers will run with it, not for a WHILE if EVER, but it certainly is an intriguing dynamic between those two...
+Nanakaoru I find the conflict within him very intriguing. I think it is that complex but it makes it more compelling, I still think its possible they will go that route, but my head canon is they will wait till the very very end of the series when it doesn't matter anymore :)
As of season 4 he is her biological father.

Hey! As of now I'm only up to ep 2x06, but are you really suggesting Red's love is other than a father's?? I looove the show, actually discovered it last week and watching around 5 eps a day!! I love that mysterious relationship, but in my eyes, a father could really love this way and I think it's beautiful! Looking forward to tonight session! :)

Caro BERTAUD Hello Raquel! Nice to meet you and thank you for your compliments. Yes, that is how I perceive their relationship, after these examples and many many others, I just don't see a paternal relationship between them But everyone has a right to their opinion of course. Enjoy the show!
Caro BERTAUD But also, my point of this video is that these were deliberate choices made by the writers, directors , actors etc who know the relationship and its too suggestive for a father and daughter. I believe that if they were father and daughter they wouldn't have allowed these examples and others onto the show.
Love your videos ashdash23 😊 To be honest, I think not even the writers know in which direction they are going with this relationship at the moment and that's why they are teasing both possibilities. I loved how they subtly confirmed it this season when Matias Solomon asked them what's the deal with them and mentioned that some say it's a father-daughter relationship while others swear it's a May-September thing 😄 Like you said, they're probably going to make a decision at the very end. I personally wouldn't mind whichever way it goes as long as they are together in the end 😍
+Adry 92 They definitely seem to have commitment issues in terms of which way to go. I wish they'd just pick a side and go with it lol
+ashdash23 Actually I've just read an excerpt of an interview with Megan Boone where she claims that it is confirmed that Red is not her father and that they are going to continue confirming that their relationship is something else, something more surprising than what most people would think. However, this doesn't eliminate the possibility that he is still a father figure to her even though he may not be her biological father. Do you think that their relationship being romantic would be surprising enough? I don't know but I'd wish they'd hurry cause this uncertainty is killing me 😄

ashdash23 Thanks, I am deaf and from Guatemalan :) I think Red is father´s Lizzie, because he always protect Liz. I do not see they have "interest romantic", they have chemistry, but only love fatherly, Red is old than Lizzie, is weird.... My theory is Red had a lover, mother´s Lizzie, or Red was best friend of family´s Lizzie. Is my opinion.
I absolutly agree, there is a chemistry between them. I liked a lot the first few episodes in season 3 this was like Bonnie & Clyde.

It was one of the original ideas and the two actors knew it to evoke to a relationship, so we see the physics side of their story and the way they both look at each other, not father-daughter.
