Your so right. I'm lucky being in the UK, as I remember all the great Metal bands starting out, then American thrash in 84 onwards, trading tapes via US 'pen pals'. I notice that loads of kids are jealous of our generation. We got it all first hand. So being 50 plus isn't so bad!!😃👍Rock on
It's a little bit their own fault they weren't. Dave criticised the band for being lazy when he quit and went to Machinehead. They just weren't putting the work in. Plus, they really came late to the party. The popularity of thrash was dying right after they released their second album. Now I think they just do it for fun, not as a living.
I'd go as far to say that his vocals are sounding better now than ever. Checked in to this vid as I am seeing them in Sydney next week. Looking forward to it!
Saw them in 2019 Budapest. Nice people. The kid gave so many picks to the people. But I'm glad most of all they had XXL Surf Nicaragua hoodie for sale that fits me.
I didn't know they were still playing. Back around 1986 they used to practice in a storage facility across the street from the apartment I lived in. Nuclear Death also practiced there as well as a bunch of glam rock cover bands. A friend and I used to sneak into the facility when the gate opened to let a car in and watch them. Good to see they're still together.
I'm as surprised as you. I remember hearing them back in 1988. Bought the album's (on American import). Glad to see their still going. Shame they never toured the UK much. I'd love to see a Sacred, Flotsam and Nuclear Assault tour, could you imagine?
@@metalpractor5150Damn, the Mason Jar!!!! I know it’s much different but I was just talking to one of my homies about seeing Silverchair at Club Rio. Those were the best days of my youth. Some of them could also be of my life. Thanks for the nostalgia trip. Cheers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Sacred Reich, continuam feras como há quase 40 anos atrás.Um dos baluartes do trash Power metal! Rock n Roll never die, alguém assim cantou um dia. Valeu a postagem! Abraços do Sul do Brasil.
Sorry, but this is Noise-Garbage. It is blasphemy to use a Gibson Les Paul for that kind of brainless tones. A Harley Benton would be enough. Sorry Harley Benton. Antimusic Style.
What a band. I can't believe I didn't know of them until this recent Sepultura tour. Great line up and a particular shout out to Joey for a superb stage presence
Eine Schande, dass sie nie richtig groß geworden und über den Kultststatus hinaus gekommen sind. Geiler Mix aus Metal und HC. In den 90ern nannte man das Crossover.
Fucking great..keep destroying stone by stone...surfing teutonic invasion yeah...Hail Sacred Reich...listening you since 87...regards from Sao Paulo - Brasil
What about Heal stuff ??? The power of the Written Word or Seen Through my Eyes or Blue Suit...3killer from this album or Crawling & Just like that from Independent my two favorite s from S.R.
I had that Stars On Thrash sampler LP.... I bought Ignorance and Surf Nicaragua the following weekend purely on the strength of Death Squad. They did NOT disappoint.... Sacred Reich, easily one of the greatest thrash bands of all time!!
Actually they’re from Scottsdale, Arizona not Phoenix which’s a good thing! Trust Me on that one ☝️ I think they would agree. And it’s Wiley Arnett who is totally underrated here folks!. Extremely uniquee ever since 1987 release!
So glad to see them still playing. I've been into them since 1988. Power to all the 80's thrash/metal bands. We need another 'Clash of The Titans' type global tour, with bands formed in '82 -84'. Any takers, band suggestions? 👍👍
i saw Death Angel a few days ago at Summerbreeze in Germany......Rob was changing Guitars for practically every single song hahaha :D how the hell did he get all of them overseas?
J'aime beaucoup sacred reich c'est du bon thasch metal, je vais les voir pour la première fois à Paris le 1er novembre prochain. Je pense que ça sera 1 bon concert ? Quelqu'un l'a déjà vu?
I remember seeing them open up for testament in Phoenix back in the day. The singer/bass player kept having to take puffs off of an asthma inhaler. The drummer was amazing. The whole band kicked ass.
Damn I seen these cats at the Mason Jar when I lived in Phoenix in the mid or late 80s. Or was it at Rockers? They kicked azz tho for sure. Phoenix was doing things at that time cud flotsam and jetsam were blowing up Rob Halford put Fight together and was always at rockers and exodus were reloed there for a minute aswell
Weight has nothing to do with how good your vocals are, so you're comment is irrelevant. Vince sucks now because his singing style wasn't meant to last and he never took care of his voice.
Nothing beats the old school thrash bands from the 80's. 🤘🤘🤘

Nothing an no one!
The great Dave Mcclain on drums!
Whoever is doing sound...thank you for the bass.
Ignorance is among the top 5 thrash albums of the 80s. An absolut classic.
Underrated af. They should be way bigger.
It's a little bit their own fault they weren't. Dave criticised the band for being lazy when he quit and went to Machinehead. They just weren't putting the work in. What a lovely guy and a great band.
Phil still have one of the best voices in Thrash
Phil vocals are insane! Really glad he is doing better! Hail Sacred Reich!
His vocals have remained on top form for over 35 years. Insane how well they still hold up
I'd go as far to say that his vocals are sounding better now than ever. Checked in to this vid as I am seeing them in Sydney next week. Looking forward to it!
Rest in Power Jason Rainey. (1967-2020)
I’m getting psyched about seeing Sacred Reich for the first time live in Houston April 05 2023 with Carcass, Municipal Waste and Creeping Death!

Sacred, nuclear death, and flotsam- phoenix’s finest. Mason jar and rockers where the magic happened

Crossover stammt aus den 80ern.
DRI, Cro Mags, SOD, MOD etcetera haben den Begriff geprägt.

One of my favorite thrash bands of all time. I've always liked how Phil's live singing is so effortless, makes it look easy.
