I found this for the same reason...at conclusion of the same House episode.
Because our body's physical senses limit us to such a narrow range of perception of the quantum reality that surrounds us, in some ways, it is a cage.
At the same time, without those protections, the overload of the sensory input would be way too much exposure for our insufficiently developed minds.
Maybe someday we will realize that we're already dancing with the one we love.

i did dance to it for my dance homework but it wasnt that good ahah, though i'll probably reuse it for my dance baccalauréat (french exam :))
if i ever get a recording of it i'd be glad to share it but i doubt i ever will since it's a group choreography and not everyone will want to be shared on social media.. but i'll try to keep you updated :)

At 4:57 the lyrics are wrong. It says "That laughs when I'm dancing with the one I love". Correctly it is "Realize I am dancing with the one I love". And IMO it's the most important line in the whole lyrics.

blzraven27 ~ Thank you for clearing that up. I love this song, and the video created, but I saw/heard the difference in the lyrics where you mentioned them. The two lyrics give completely differing meaning to the song. I wonder why the change was made?
I get the impression that Gabriel was trying to be more theatrical. darker melodies, dramatic strings, and then I guess he decided to tell a different story so it sounds more like a bit of redemption toward the end.

I deal with regular bouts of cyclic vomiting.. it's entirely debilitating for me.. I end up stuck in bed holding nothing down from days to weeks at a time.. I can't work or see anyone. The only one who will be around me is my mother, bless her heart, but I am alone otherwise.. I've gotten so much shit from employers and coworkers over the years but have no other means of income. I can't get approved for help because I still have to manage to have a job as often as possible especially since there are times I am okay and can work fine. Its due to stress and anxiety is the most I've been able to find out. It just seems to hit me out of nowhere. Everyone else in my life has taken a long time and somewhat just started to come around to the fact that it's really nothing I'm doing to myself and I cannot help or stop it by any means I am aware of or I absolutely would. I am terrified I will die from this some day. But all I can do is feel guilty for dealing with it because it stops my income, and screws up my family and coworkers lives while I'm down. This song gives me release and confidence to keep trying as much as it makes me cry.. not asking anyone for anything here. Just wanted to share and vent I guess.

You say you're alone, so you probably don't have a strong supportive friendship that can help hold you up as you make it through to the other side. If not, then you're welcome to message me.
