the ending of the fight was saddening yet a sense of relief. Amy is freed and finally gets to rest, and John can be relieved of his guilt through Amy's assurance.
I'm not particularly religious at all, but this game is very powerful. When John finally exorcises Amy and finishes his prayer with "Amen," while standing there covered in blood, it brings tears to my eyes. Such a moving moment.
Likewise, it's definitely a powerful ending that has stuck with me. Similar to Underground in that regard, happy endings are forgettable, but this was bitter sweet.

“Deus qui non patietur vos temptari super id quod potestis sed faciet cum temptatione etiam proventum ut possitis sustinere.” God knows John’s true limits and will help him because this is beyond what is physically possible for him to bear, because “Si habueritis fidem sicut granum sinapis, dicetis monti huic: Transi hinc illuc, et transibit, et nihil impossibile erit vobis.” John has renewed his faith.
Well when they performed the second death on her she died, so she was pretty much a zombie at that point. That's the reason she turns into skeletal remains instantly when John exorcises her at the end

-the vibe is off because no ones used to 8 bit style horror games. -its very quiet, which makes everyone unconformable if they're playing a game to be entertained. -the idea of loneliness and isolation is prevalent throughout, its like one man fighting against the world -the actual jump scares are really jarring because you've been looking at a top down screen with a few pixels of a man slowly walking to each destination, only to get jump scared by a fully rotoscoped and highly detailed demon/dude whos out to get you, it takes you back for sure.

For the first time in the series, John has had his faith fully restored, and he can now take multiple hits!
It's even shown when his crucifix is turned back into gold.
He harness the power of GOD
Even devine intervention happens
The phrase "You are strong, but Christ the King is stronger" is taken literally.
It's so badass of him to stand there, drenched in blood, golden gross in hand, panting heavily just saying "Amen."
I was ready for the fake congratulations. I was not ready for that opening scream.
Cool
