I'm a huge fan of David Kasyoki and Katitu boys band in general.Those who lived through late 80s and 90s can understand the impact that the band had on the Kenyan airwaves and the souls of music lovers.Hao wanaume walijituma though music paid less then. A very comprehensive documentary ought to be done on this fallen legend.
Katitu boys band I believe to have been the greatest Benga band ever of all times, a Kikuyu secular artist Sammy muraya was part of the band too in the early years
Finally someone has done the much asked for feature on arguably the best kamba artist to ever record & perform. The versality in his music is still unbeaten by any kamba music group. The interviewer could have done better though. Still, kudos for a first.

I doubt if kasyoki collaborated with kimangu by then...i think these guys are confusing ben musyoki(wakaitho) to musyoki kimangu...katitu is older than kimangu bt with thin margin...by 1987 kasyoki collaborated with maingi masinga & later with peter kisaa...before even kimangu produced "beth yiungui"...kimangu started with kina musinga(wasiwasi) rhythmist victor mutua(satani) bass wakatembura(drummist) while kasyoki started with peter kisaa (rhythmist) mohammed(drummer) taller munyao, ben musyoki & symo (vocalists)...katitu started as three stars band until when ben musyoki & peter kisaa defected to form their own band known as ukambani stars aka sekete though they didnt reach far...wakaitho alirudi katitu.........the confussion you seeing abt the members happened when kimangu poached all young stars from katitu including john muasa, simba mundu, ngathika, chris nzombo, bosco mulwa etc......nway, nice content big up
