I thought God teaches Mankind to worship him alone. Worship the Creator not the creation. I thought Hinduism also teaches that there is one God, Brahma.

In Hinduism, the all pervading reality is termed as Brahman. This being is without form (Nirākāra) as well as with innumerable forms (Sākāra), manifesting in everything that is in the universe. Brahman is neither masculine, not feminine, yet shows his countless qualities in the deities we worship. As a result, Hinduism allows all forms of worship, seeing the divine in every aspect of creation. We see the divine in each other too, which is conducive to a respectful and loving attitude towards the world. The idea of God as a singualer personality who forbids worship of others is an Abrahamic concept, but by no means a Hindu one:)
