What an amazing drummer Pete de Freitas was. I could never imagine Echo & the Bunnymen without him.
Wonderful to see this. Echo and the Bunnymen were the coolest band in the land during this era. Pete was such a wonderful drummer. It was the four fellas playing their unique styling. Yes young people, us old fucks were dancing to this groove when we were your age. Enjoy the sound of the majestic Bunnymen. There was no band like them. Greetings Bunnypeople!

I've still got the 7" vinyl of Pictures on my wall.
Listening to The Bunnymen with headphones on as a teenager took me to a different plane altogether. Still the coolest band name ever in my opinion.
Watching this again makes me realise just how unique they were, and still are.
What sucked me into the dark side and I never went back. 🐰They will never be equaled if you ask me.
Sergeant has the best guitar tone I've ever heard and Mac has one of the best voices I've ever heard
And underneath all that you have one of the most rock solid rhythm sections of all time. Musical alchemy at the highest level.
les pattinson and de freitas were no slouches either. very accomplished as the rhythm section.

This takes me back. I saw the Bunnymen many times from the early 80's. I wish I'd known what I know now - one of the best live bands ever.

Astonishing. I love the "No Hands" bit before breaking into "With a Hip". These days, we need the Bunnymen more than ever.
One of their best performances. The level of output by Pete on drums is pure exhaustion is staggering.

Woah!! Great reminder these guys were killing (moon) it at this time. Also, yes the songs were great, but Will, Pete and Les were seriously brilliant and unique musicians… and they were in the same band!
