Great rod picked it up a few days ago. Love the exposed blank by the reel seat you can feel everything. Paired it with a penn battle iii dx3000. Had a blast catching over 20 snappers today.
I do use an Albright knot with 20 wraps and at the end I thread the tag end through the loop twice. Kinda like my own signature twist to the knot. It super strong. Haven’t had one fail in me

When I’m fishing in a boat I very rarely need it because I’m not casting as hard or trying to cast as far as I am when I’m surf fishing. Surf fishing I’m casting bigger plugs sometimes and casting as hard as I can to get to distance so that can mess up your finger.
Yo can u one day go out on like a deep sea adventure and try and catch some like Mahi and like some Nice Cudda and even some Kingfish or even a Goliath Grouper!! That would be such a fun video to watch please help us out

What knot do you use to tie the fluorocarbon leader wirh the braid? And how long is the leader? Thanks
You should use a double uni or a FG knot. When you double uni, do a stronger knot, spider hitch the braid then tie the double uni.

@FishAholic Fishing stays in the spot you catch fish for 10 to 15 minutes. Once the bite dies down, cover lots of water with 2 to 3 casts per spot.
@FishAholic Fishing sometimes it's best to stay in the area to sift through the rat stripers to get a slot or bigger striper

I use both tails. They both work. Heard uncle Josh is coming back though sooo that might be the better option again soon.

Mahi yes, maybe even some tuna, probably not Cuda, kingfish, or grouper in these waters. But always thinking of some new creative content to make 🤙🏻
