We have a similar event coming up in Portugal this weekend. Blessing of the helmets at Fátima santuary. They're expecting around 150.000 bikers this year. If I got to do a lap around a track maybe i'd go, but alas they have no Nürburgring there. That plus all the forest fires going on this week making the air pretty terrible, I'm just going to stay home.
With this kind of attendance I wonder why thy don't have more motorcycle only days at the Nordschleife. As someone who never visited this track I don't feel very comfortable riding with random people in cars.
Not many dry clutches out there, most were wet. So it was even more disturbing to think how much clutch I could smell! Ducs, Guzzis, and older BMWs all stinking it up!

That's incredible! 150,000! I'm really looking forward to riding Portugal again soon. Maybe next year
Mischievous giggle after the first wheelie 😂
I'm a kid, what can I say?
Slow laps with commentary/coaching is always great to see
Glad you enjoyed it Paul! 🙏
@@btgmoto - yep, enjoyed this one very much.
That was a curious event indeed, as well as probably the safest lap!
Reasonably safe, and definitely not fast!

I'd love it if the Nürburgring would bring back the bike only days!
@@btgmoto Yes please!
That was mental...
That was oddly interesting haha! Thanks for sharing, Dale. What are the requirements for filming with a drone during an event like that?
Thanks! With the
Rumour is, you can smell burned clutches to this very day ^^
