The Moody Blues were one of the first progressive rock bands. Days of Future Past was recorded with a full orchestra. Nights in White Satin is one of my favourite songs of all time. I was very young when this song came out and was quite sheltered, so I thought the name of this song was Knights in White Satin. I pictured a knight in armor with white satin robes, lol. The fact that it makes no sense with the rest of the lyrics, didn’t bother me at all!😂 For some reason, maybe because the songs came out at about the same time, I always associate this song with In the Year 2525, by Zager & Evans. It’s wild and weird! Check it out if you get a chance. 😊
A song about unrequited Love if ever I have heard one. It reminds me of those stories where a man works with a woman for years and is madly in love with her but is too afraid to approach her out of fear of rejection hmmm
