Some people work their asses off every single day of their lives, do everything the “right” way, and still have nothing but impoverishment to pass on to their children and grandchildren. Some people never lift a finger and have it all. It’s all circumstantial. We do the best with what we’ve got, under the conditions bestowed upon us.

This is a little bit cringe. As someone who ACTUALLY grew up in “black culture,” the kind of which people generally think about when they hear that term, outwardly speaking “out against racism” is *NOT* hard at all. It’s much harder to question “systematic racism” and ask for clarification on certain preconceived notions in the face of factual statistics that don’t support them. You can be pro love and create hell, you can also be pro love and acquire a better future without blindly stumping along lines without question. Real love requires tough love also. There’s definitely some shit that people call racist that definitely is not racist and to call those things racist is actually racist because it’s the soft bigotry of low expectations. If you’re truly anti racism then you should be stumping for a color blind philosophy like MLK Jr
