I noticed that too! I thought it was the first time but I went back to season 12 and they didn’t have the ages either!
I think it's because they're filming tons and tons of seasons in a row now that for it to make sense they remove them.

I have a feeling the contestants of Season 14 would have been traumatized watching this that they'll all be coming in wearing body suits, dancing heels, a life vest, a construction helmet, and a gun in case Ru pulls out any stunt on the first episode.
If they were to do this format, I wished they'd first show all the entrances, and how the 2/3 girls converse. Then the siren goes off and we show how the girls react differently (and also that way they all recieve just the same message from Ru which explained things a lot more better rather than having multiple ones which were getting more shorter and boring)
They show the lipsyncs but leave us hanging on the results. When they announce the winner we get to see them go back to the werkroom with the other winners.
In the last part, they then show Kahmora and Eliott walk out and reveal that the eliminated queens were also hanging out in another area
I think that would have been great.

I cannot wait for the eventual triple crowning of these 3 divas in season 14
Chicago is being represented very well! I can definitely see the strong drive and work ethic in Denali, and Kimora is absolutely stunning with a fun shady personality, I love them! The breakout star of this episode for me though was Tamisha, I didn’t get much from her Meet the Queens, but she was fabulous in this episode so now I’m really excited to see more of her.
Polaroid never sued Andre 3000. They actually hired him to pass out cameras at his concerts.

I completely agree with you all about the episode being mean and repetitive. It was exactly the depressing start to the new year that we didn’t want. Such a shame because the queens are outstanding on this season and I can’t wait to see more of them

Not gonna lie , this episode was ..... something. I hated seeing all those queens being so sad on the first episode. Usually , they are so excited and happy , they see a celebrity ( flashback to season 9 ) they get to see Michelle, etc. This time it was just ... why ...

according to alaska and willam via race chaser, after each elimination the queens were immediately taken to their trailer until all the lip syncs were done. which means joey jay and denali had been waiting 5-6 hours in their trailers before the pork chop loading dock part was filmed.
