Really enjoyed your rocketry videos, wished you made a video on your Russian rocket with the duel engines 😊 I am also getting back into this hobby. I have a Estes bull pup coming in the mail, I think I want a big Bertha too. And all the little ones like the Wizard rocket. Its cheaper than other hobbies like the RC world but like anything els you can spend tons in it. 😅
Having some fun with my grandson building rockets and FlighTest foamboard planes. I know I'm having fun, lol. Will be revisiting your CB750 series this winter rebuilding 2 1973 K3s.
The standard launch guide rod is flexible and begins to act in odd ways with heavier or more powerful rockets. A longer guide might help, but at some point more rigid solutions become necessary.
I was just wondering how you were doing with that V2 rocket and and saw you posted a new video. You might just find that rocket in the fall. What about a DIY tracking device, I think you'd be the first lol. Keep posting videos. Cool stuff
Suggestion, maybe you should design some kind of finder or put some kind of finder beeper on your rocket next time so if it goes missing you can track it down perhaps even some kind of rf signal generator that emmits a tone, and you cary the receiver on your belt or something.
They tend to swing in circles when there's no hole which releases air around the side and they fall faster. With the hole they stay more stable and fall a bit slower.

Looks like the V2 had "rod-whip" to occur. Perhaps a stiffer launch rod, like the Estes E Pad might prevent this, with its 1/4 inch diameter rod.
I'm thinking launch rail or a piece of drill rod which is very stuff.

I’m returning to hobby after 30 years. Why do you cut out the center of parachutes? Great videos!
