  • David Laroche is interviewing Denis Waitley, an american best-selling author in high performance and psychology. Denis is very inspiring, things that he drew in his experience. He gave a lot of anecdote about his childhood, his grandmother, who is his greatest role model and his career as a jet pilot in the Navy from which he learned many thing like the importance of setting goals and targets. He showed all the trigger and the struggles he had before becoming a famous and successful writer. Denis recommends that nobody has something to prove and to succeed the state of mind is the most important.

I spent last weekend, (on my birthday 8-12-23) with Denis. Sitting in his living room for two days.... He could talk for hours and all of it is pure nuggets of gold! He's 90 years old has goals 10 years in the future. He is iconic and yet humble. He's a wonderful man!

Denis Waitley is a true legend, he's before my time but out of all the personal development people out there, Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, Brian Tracey etc... Mr. Denis Waitley has helped me the most and it's not even close, Zig would be my second. God Bless 🙏 Denis Waitley

"I didn't write the Psychology of Winning because I was an authority on winning, I wrote it because I was an authority on losing. ...if you were to do the opposite of what you failed at, and make that part of your life, then you could flip it." :) 55.20

I first heard a tape of Denis's at age 13, now 54, I still reference one of his most iconic sayings, "Your mere presence alone, is enough to be modest with". Thanks Denis. You are a SUPERSTAR!!

Dennis Waitley has always been my greatest self improvement Hero! His "Seeds of Greatness" was the first book that I had and then many other programs he did. His poetic couplets combined with his great sense of humor have always endeared me to him. He is Legend!

Outstanding interview, David! Thank you for sharing it with us.
When you get the opportunity to sit down and talk with someone who has positively impacted as many lives as Dennis Waitely, I think you're wise not to try to ask him a lot of questions. Let him answer and fully expound on what he feels is most important for listeners to know.
I've been listening to motivational, inspirational, and instructional speakers for well over 20 years, and I find Dennis Waitley to be one of the sincerest in wanting to truly help people live better lives.
Business Is Business, but it's important to note how Waitley let it be known that there are more than a few in the Self-Development industry who are more concerned about Selling than they are about Telling. I say Learn as much as you can from as many as you can, but never lose sight of any overly aggressive pitches to get your money.

I first listened to The Psychology of Winning in 1986, and just last week bought the updated DVD set from Ebay. My only correction to Dennis is that he talks about God and the Bible, but then talks about how we evolved this or that trait. He's a bit confused on that, or at least he was when he recorded the series. I hope he's come to understand that God created everything in six days, and that we didn't evolve from fish.

Ever notice how the older generationns recognize how unique we are from animals, that we are actually created, whereas the increasingly Secular world completely tosses that notion to the side?
