Thank you for the historical, brief, and excellent story. Abacha was very loyal to IBB. Hence, he secured power for his friend.

Thanks for information. I you are privileged to have a conversation with old Military officers who know Abacha, they will all tell you he’s a man of principle. He never lobby’s for anything or does eye service. He simply minds his business. You will never find him dinning and having fun with then Commander in Chief after work hours like most military officers do. He is just too serious, but if dare enter his lane, you will definitely hit a Rock.

Asides from the looting issue, Anacha didn't die in his sleep, he was poison. Reasons are not really known , obviously, because of power.

He hate western countries, he even asked the to leave Nigeria within 72hours after they put chain to Nigeria,
He is not even visiting them,
That why they hate him and try all what they can to make sure Nigeria doesn't have person like him. They are lied to him that he stole Nigeria money.

Abacha the evil man. He knew another opportunity will come and he was just bidding his time because he wasn't the planner of that very event

Military involvement in civil governance in Nigeria was not only a major drawback for the development of civil society and democracy but was also the darkest period in the history of Nigeria.
Unfortunately, your narrative is based around two friends who trampled on the constitution of Nigeria, and to the detriment of democracy in Nigeria. Because both friends violated the constitution of Nigeria and the laws that established the military as a means of defending the country. And both friends could not deliver democracy to the country.
Therefore, I am baffled about the logic behind your love story.

What have the useless democracy done for Nigerians other than produce weak institutions and strong men of corruption. Africans must learn to chart their path other than believing the useless system of governance called democracy.
