If you were a kid back in the 1980's, this is what you roller-skated to. Still a banger!
We went roller skating last night and they played this song. 😂😂😂
@@tammyford2357 Cool!!!
YESSS! I thought I was so cool 😎 🤣
@@tammyford2357 Quit trying to in with the crowd. 😜
True story.
Brad & Lex, you'll love their "Jet Airliner" and "Junglelove"!!!
Yes! Both!
If you want them to react to something, you need to participate in their Livestream, try to get support for your request in the chat, get it on a poll, and hope it wins. That's how they get the songs they react to.
YES 💯 My two faves from Steve Miller. Love this track too (“Abracadabra”)
Definitely Jet Airliner
Agreed! I'm totally on board including Threshold which is a great lead-in for Jet Airliner.
I never knew the Steve Miller band sang this song. It sounds so different from any of their other songs.
The song was a worldwide smash hit, topping U S Billboard's Hot 100 in May 1982.
STEVE MILLER BAND! They always make 😊 happy! Love the "black panties with angel's face" part.
Steve Miller, even though he has garnered some accolades including being in the RNRHOF, he is still highly underrated, in my opinion. Seen him live a couple of times, and each time it was an excellent experience, with no down side. Like magic. Abracadabra.
The solo in this song is a good example. It's kind of like the one Fisher wrote for Heart's Barracuda. It's a solo that is so sonically unique, and it fits into the song so well, that it often isn't even regarded as a solo.
Did they bring him in on a crane?🧨
Their song "Winter Time" has a great chill vibe and harmonies.
Winter Time and Serenade....Hell yes!!! Good man!
Completely overlooked and underrated song
They take requests through their live streams idk why you guys comment this stuff on every video lmao
@@latortugapicante719 Ummmm because that's what they ask people to do? lol
@@latortugapicante719 I don't know why you felt the need to belittle anyone else's comment, lmao
Wife here..Wore this record out in my youth.!.This was one of Steve Miller's last mainstream hits
A song with a very similar bass line and sound is "Talking in your sleep" by The Romantics. It was a big 80s hit.
... Everybody had a mullet in the eighties...
@@ericduggan16 guilty
SMB was a great creative, versatile band during the late '60s, '70s and '80s. Many hits.
This is one of them (early '80s), their attempt/stab at new wave punk lol. Trying to keep up with the other new wave bands (which was huge at the time). "Cool Magic " is next!
This was huge in the early 80`s. This song got me into the band.
I saw Steve in London, UK in the early 70s, and fell asleep at the show! Mind, you I had driven from the north of England, straight from work, in a snow storm. BTW, I love Steve's voice. It seems so real. Too many singers use a singing style that sounds artificial and phoney.
Steve is a great guitarist. He can really play that thing. That is him on lead.
I learned a lot about drumming from Gordy's youtube vids.
Brad- I like the way you say my name.
Lex- I like the guitar.
hahahaha
I love Steve Miller. I got to take my mom to see them in concert years ago. Amazing show - psychedelic. Love yals reactions! ML&R
my dad drove steve miller back in 1989 and ate dinner with him!
Abracadabra was on MTV 50 times a day when it first came out.
Fantastic musician. I've seen him twice. "Serenade" is my favorite song of his.
And on Fly Like An Eagle. My lyrics are Fly Like A Beagle like Snoopy fly like a beagle let my doghouse carry me, i want to fly like a beagle like snoopy
Um. . . okay.
Steve Miller Great Band & Love this Song! This came out around the Disco Days and I believe it was his Attempt at a Disco song, which it did Great in all the Clubs.
I always liked that rhyming of "abracadabra" and "grab ya" in this song!
This is just about as 80s as it gets, people
You Guys Take The Money and Run 💯🎯😉👍🇺🇸✌️🌟✌️
I just discovered you guys today around 7:30pm. It's now almost 2:30am and I'm still watching your videos. I just love seeing your reactions to all the classic rock that I grew up listening to. Keep it up, you both are awesome and there's so much more music to discover.
Good oldie from younger days
I call this song the Pinball Machine song because that what the guitar solo sounds like.
I love “The Joker.” I just ran across you guys early this morning. Impressed by your choices. 🥰
We all loved and sang this song when it came out. It was very popular.
“Wild Mountain Honey” 🍯
- In the Wintertime
- Mercury Blues
- Heart Like a Wheel
I remember when this song was new 4 decades ago but I never saw this video until now... and that's a good thing!
Love the song. Especially the chorus. you do not get any better than "Abra abracadabra I want to reach out and grab ya." That is one of the greatest corny lines of all time. Or is it cheesy? Either way that is a classic line. I love singing it. Then there is the line "Kiss me baby let the fire get higher" and the great arcade game ship laser effects. So uncool that it is incredibly cool.
Good to see Brad has come out of his shell lately!
I always sing “thighs” . Thanks for the laugh.😂
I literally thought that's what he said.😂
How the heck do you "hear" thighs? lol
This was a huge hit back in the day. Reminds me how fun the 80's were. Also this was the very early stages of adding computer elements into videos.
Great great band. Big hits in the 70’s and 80’s. Good memories. 💙💙
I grew up listening to these guys....but the high water mark for me in the hard rock world nowadays is Band-Maid. No rivals; No comparison.
We gotta get them to react to one more “Band Maid” so Lex won’t wish they were guys lol. Something hard like “Black Hole”
Well...I checked....and you guys already did all of this band's songs that I like....nice😀!
One of my favorites from the 80's. You need to listen to the extended version. It's even better.
this was a favorite of mine in the 80's awesome song brings back great memories ty
I especially like the extended version of this song.
Yes, it's disappointing they left the outro out of the video.
Jungle Love is one of my favorite songs by Steve Miller band!! The Joker is too!!!
Hi Family Why are you Surprised That All This Talent is Walking Right By YOU'RE WAY AND YOU DIDN'T NOTICE? BECAUSE MOST WEREN'T EVEN BORN YET DON'T FEEL BAD JUST KEEP ON KEEPING ON POSTING 🏆🏅 PEACE LOVE AND RESPECT 💯🎯 KEEP HAPPY HEALTHY AND SERENE BLESS YOU 😉👍💯🙏
I loved this when this came out...It was so different!
@Brad & Lex I think it's so cool when Lex begins getting into it, and she makes that: Oohhpp sound 🤣😂 I can't help but laugh, and these songs, so old to me, it gives me a new appreciation watching you both so into them ‼️ It's refreshing 🤘🕺🎤🎸💯👀
I was 18 when this song came out. We had new alternative lyrics for it every other day.
I haven't see this video for yeeeears, what a smash song all over the radio back in the day, The Joker was a big hit too back in the 70s.
I loved this song as a kid because it was catchy and had neat noises. Didn't have a clue what it was about 😆
OMG A blast from the past
Yer man sounds like he's lost inside the tunnel of Love! Ha,ha,ha
This band is awesome, and this is one of my favorites of theirs. A jukebox choice 😍
i love the girl was smiling from the begining of the song :)
Ty both. Did a quick scroll through the comments. Did not see anyone say that Les Paul (you know the guy they named guitars after) was his godfather, and his wife, (damn having a senior moment. Mary?) they had a huge hit w/ How High the Moon. Love Steve Miller. Greetings from Montreal.
Hello Brad and Lex, Good earworm this one, Try 'If you leave me now' by Chicago, that is also a tune . .... the Dammed ' Elouise,' is it goth, rock, soul?
Hahaha! “The magic in your thighs”, Brad, I think that would have been a better lyric actually! 😂
Loved this song when I was a kid and had no idea who it was until I was a teenager.
This may have been a #1 hit too.
Rats as pets may be more popular than you might imagine. I knew someone with a modified 4-shelf book stand to cage/house them in... They called it the Ratisson Hotel.
I bought that album as soon as it came out. Yes, album, dropped it on my turnstile and could not get enough
Oh man, this was my roller skating jam!!!
I may have missed Jackson Browne reaction videos, but if you haven't done any yet ... there is a real treasure trove awaiting you.
Love this song!!!
So way back in the day.....my 4 year old son got ahold of his dads Steve Miller Greatest Hits cassette tape and is just hooked on them, for years he listened to that tape (we had to replace it) and one day, he was 7 or so, Abracadabra comes on the radio...we told him that was Steve Miller....He was sooo mad at us, thought we were playing him, he did not believe they would do a horrid song like that, he never liked it. Not a Steve Miller favorite, but I don't loathe it, and always remember him sitting back in the car so P O'd!.....What I wouldn't give to hear his little 5 year old self singing Dance, Dance, Dance, but alas, back in the day with no cell phones.
You should listen to “Illusion” by Imagination. I think you’ll love it! I think they sampled the riff in a Mariah Carey song years later!! 👌🏻😍
Thanks for some Steve Miller
Love Steve Miller Band
This is actually my favorite Steve Miller song.
Car wash. Is a fun 70 disco
His nickname is Stevie “guitar” Miller... try early songs like “living in the USA “ and “gangster of love” thanks
"Hey blah blah blah..." Hilarious !! Lex's face at that moment was just as funny ! Thanks for posting this - great reaction.
This song brought back memories. I remember chicks loved this hit. Thanks for for the smiles and laughter.
2:29 You are very correct. My neighbor called my name a few weeks ago. I haven't heard my name in four years.
B&L, You would enjoy Steve Miller's True Fine Love.
Saw him with frampton in NYC!! GREAT SHOW!!
This is one of those songs that came out just when I was really getting into music as a kid.
This was like my favorite song when I was like 10. Thank you for bringing back the nostalgia
The drumming is what makes this song GREAT!
Gary Mallaber is one of the greats.
This song puts 80's arcade games in every gas station and grocery store in the area. Replaces all the gambling machines. That's the magic.
I don't know when this song came out but I was definitely tripping when I was watching the video one time.
My daughter loves pet rats. They only live about 3 years. They are very intelligent and affectionate.
This song took a real long time to appeal to me but once it did I couldn't get enough of it. Still great to hear but very much of it's time.
This song was written as an anthem for Doug Henning, a 70s magician. It’s about Doug’s ability to master illusion.
I believe this guy was trained in classical
He was trained by none other than Les Paul.
SMB has a lot of really good songs, but this one has always been my favorite.
Good song. Very catchy
Yeah, whenever I sing this song I sing "I feel the magic, between your thighs."
Now that you guys have done "Abracadabra", maybe you could try Black Sabbath's "Sabra Cadabra". Kick ass song!
Logic - Young Sinatra III, very lyrical old school hip hop type song. Think you guys would enjoy it
Check out Swingtown by The Steve Miller Band.
If you do consider "Jet Airliner" be sure to include "Threshold," which is an instrumental that leads into Jet Airliner. It's the "longer" version, as described.
Cool song 🎵 Like Steve Miller Band. Check out "Swingtown" next.
I can't unhear this word you conjured (see what I d...nevermind) in my head, so it's only fair I share it with you - ratbits - oooo, ick!!!
Maestro Fresh Wes - Let Your Backbone Slide
check out "fly like an eagle"
... "I like the magic in your thighs"... Hahaha!!
Slim Shady brought me here.
Steve Miller opened for my first Grateful Dead show.
WILD MOUNTAIN HONEY is one of their best, from the 1976 album Fly Like An Eagle.
Great song !
I read that he wrote this song for Diana Ross after they appeared on the tv show Hullabaloo together...
That guitar! That's why he's called Stevie "Guitar" Miller.
Jet Airliner is a must listen!!!
