The Insurance Emporium's discount for approved diamond locks is 10% rather than 5% as said in the video
You and GCN Tech uploading the same video at the exact same time is really freaky.
GCN just talked about bike tracking devices though, not locking the bike
I had a combo cable lock. Lock and bike were gone. I got a d lock after that. It still sucks almost 15 years later.
Is it bike theft day or something? you and GCN doing the same videos!
The Matrix programs genre based channels to release the same content at the same times; same reason gun channels talk about the same topics on the same days, and movie news channels talk about the same things.
there using battery powered grinders now, 4 minutes they are cutting thru your padlock or chain, there are tons of videos in broad daylight wearing winter face hats on electric scooters, best thing is bring you expensive bike inside with you or try this Hiplok D1000 Anti Angle-Grinder U-Lock
D1000 is bloody heavy though. Put it in your pannier if you have one.
@@badabing8884Ribble cyclist showed that these can be cut with tungsten impregnated cutting discs .
I am still wary of leaving my e-bike out and about even locked up with 2 D locks, cable, café lock, insured and also e-alarm, GPS. I also have it registered with bike register.
Just takes a thief with an angle grinder to get through and nick it although they would be riding around with the e-alarm going off and I can track them.
Oh no, its Queens Square! 🙂 I would never lock mny best bike outdoors anywhere, I have lost one in Bristol doing just that! I use a onguard on an old bike, Gold for 20 minutes
Hide 2 Apple Air tags on your bike somewhere. One can just be a dummy decoy or both real
I want to know when you decide to say no to things, especially if the thing is bad but still income generating?
All of those bike locks are only designed to stop people who have no intention of stealing your bike at all. That's it and that's all.
That is correct, we did test our products over a period of six month with people that ha no intension of stealing it and the bike locks had a 100% success rate!
3 d locks is what I’d use.
It woz Ollie wot did it
If I was to lock up a £2000+ bike up outside in a city, I’d get a Litelock X1
That chain is suffering!
Litelok X1
40 pounds for a cable lock? Lmaoooo
Sadly insurance companies won't pay out generally unless your bike is fastened to a tank with a million a diamond rated locks they don't want to know 😠
This is not helpful. Lock your bike, gee wish I thought of that 🙄
Best way is to never leave your bike out of you sight, especially in such a crime ridden country as the UK.
When calling the police, tell them that someone has misgendered your bike, to ensure a swift response..😐
Along the lines of "It stole them"? 😀
@@stevemccrory9130 Yes 😐
In where i live, even though i leave my carbon bike without any lock nobody will steal it. Why? Because lots of people ride scooter and it's much easier to steal and sell a scooter than a bicycle
Use a real link chain and a real lock.
Never left your nije unattenden.
I take my "baby" into the shop with me if required and plan before I go riding and only ride her with friends so that she can be guarded by one of them . We take turns at this responsibility after a neighbour had his Merida 2 fourty stolen .
The sponsor Insurance Emporium is famous for being really dodgy. Cheap for a reason. They will do anything to avoid paying out so really read the small print. We had pet insurance from them and barely got a penny out of them when we needed.
The best way to not get your bike stolen is to ride a simple steel bike and lock it next to an expensive carbon fiber bike owned by an old guy going through a health crisis and is cycling only because his doctor recommended he exercise.
Get a shite bike... I ride a Puch Promenade 70s shopper . 4.5k miles on it . 40 quids worth of Utter shite but love it.
Report to the police is the most ridiculous statement ever.
Useless
