- In this video I show some of the newest Spring collection McCall's patterns as well as a few older ones I was fortunate to pick up. I unbox a mystery box that I received from @AusetsStitchedTreasures . And then finally, I model a sleeveless knit top made from New Look 6150 View C. I cut a size 14.
These are the McCall's patterns listed in order of appearance (some have Sew Along links):
M8341 - Shapely asymmetrical cutout dress features tuck and gathering details.

M7816 - Hoodie top, Dress, Pants and Dog Coat
M8339 - Fitted twist-front dresses have different lengths and sleeve variations.

M8389 - Skirts in two lengths have yoke and optional pockets and zippers.
M7999 - Close-fitting, pullover dresses have sleeve variations and stitched hem.
M8449 - Pull over dresses have placket, collar, sleeve and length variations.
M8448 - Knit dress with diagonal seaming allows for striped or color blocked fabrication. Dress has asymmetric hemline with long bell sleeve or sleeveless.

Hi Grace i love your top. I tied out a long response and then it went away😢😢😢 Every time I see you pour coffee I have to get up and go get a cup. Ha ha ha! When I saw that stripped color blocked dress. I said that is a dress grace would make... and you picked it up!😅

Definitely! Think about it, only $2 for a pattern that you don't have to print out. The instructions are all there and a beautiful photo on the envelope! The greatest buy of the century! I'm just hearing about this Galentine's Day, too! I like the idea!! Wow! You really lucked out with the new McCall's patterns. And you know what? When I was fabric shopping at Hobby Lobby recently, I heard that JoAnn's was in "receivership". Bankruptcy is in their future, I guess. I wonder if there will be a few store closings around the country? Sad to say and think about for sure. I think it's a good idea, too, to buy what patterns you can when they go on sale. Have a great week-end! Looks like we're in for some rain so I'm planning to spend some time in my sewing nook.

There are 2 in the area that I usually shop at -- one at Waterford Lakes (where I went recently) and one in Altamonte Springs. I would say that the Altamonte Springs store is the nearest to The Sewing Studio.
Well maybe we can pop in after the Sewing Studio! I have a list of new Simplicity patterns I wanted to get yesterday at my Joann's and they did not have the new ones. I hope you and Cheryl would like to stop by?

Love your patterns Grace, great haul. Just received notification that Fabricland in Ontario, Canada is going to carry Simplicity patterns again. Yay! They won’t be a $1.99 though. Hi Grace! I don't know why I constantly over look NL 6150. I swear sometimes it takes seeing things through the eye of another to appreciate it. I've been looking through my stash for a boat neck pattern and NL 6150 has a version I could use.😏I went to six JA's! Some had boxes the were heavily guarded by dragons. Alas, I'll have to wait for the next McCalls sale.
Auset, I'm checking out another Joann's that I've never been to. I have a list of Simplicity patterns. Yes, N6150 is a great pattern. 👍 ♥️🥰
I went to another Joann's today and NO new Simplicity patterns. I got some old ones. So disappointed. Hopefully they will have them at the next sale.

Hi Grace, just to let you know that all the Joann stores do not have the pattern sales on Thursday's. Only Friday through Sunday.
Hi Gail, where did you hear that? Thanks for letting me know. I post the pattern sales that are confirmed by Joann store managers. Some sales start on Thurs. or Friday and may end on Saturday or Sunday. The sales dates vary. The recent Simplicity sale ran from Thurs. to Monday Presidents Day.
I was told that at JoAnn. I have gone there at least twice on a Thursday so I finally asked and was told the pattern sales went from Friday thru Sunday. I am in North Carolina.
I just posted in my Community tab the Butterick/Vogue pattern sale that begins tomorrow Thursday and goes thru Sunday. I have the signs in my Community tab. If you go Thursday and bring a pattern to the register, not their hand held scanners, only the register, Butterick will ring up $1.99 and Vogue $5.99. That's what I was told by a store manager.
