Hopefully this break down won't take as long as the last time Your Grace when in for the turbo blowing up. Hopefully when she gets her new motor, she will be able to stay on the road longer without break downs.
Think to boss man got hosed by the first Volvo dealer. All of the metal should have been cleaned out of the pan especially since they supposedly did a complete rebuild. Time to get the lawyers involved. Early start to vacation, enjoy the time off John.
That’s what I had a discussion with the Mechanic, for all, we know, those shavings are from the old incident and there’s perfectly nothing wrong with this motor. But then, again, with all the foreign object inside the motor, you don’t want to run the motor without taking it apart and cleaning it…
It's a 2018, and it's ran hard with the miles they do at ADL, no truck would stand that after 5 years of use......she's past 500,000 miles any manufacture warranty is long gone....

unfortunate about that engine. I would dump that thing and never even look at a Volvo again. I remember Josh bought his Volvo and had nothing but problems. Problem is that it can happen to any engine regardless of the make .....ive had my cabover volvo for some time now and must admit its been a fantastic truck ...like i said all trucks have their issues and problems...
I really think the damage seen to your trucks engine should have never happened. I’m sure this has happened in the past and Volvo should be aware of it and it’s consequences. I’ll bet there is a Volvo service bulletin out on the compound turbo and it’s after effects.
