I have one of these. You can toss it in the washing machine. Comes out as good as new.
The washing didn't damage the mat at all.
My only complaint is that it's not versatile. In a slightly sweaty practice, I have to use so much water spraying to keep the matte non-slip. Kind of distracting from the practice itself.

Thats interesting about the washing machine! I've yet to try washing a mat in one. But good to know it can be washed that way. Yeah I think this is more of a hot yoga/summer yoga mat.

I am a phd student in canada. I ama new subscriber to your channel. I understand Phd can be very stressful and you are doing an awesome job creating such videos. I request you, if possible, please create a Yoga Playlist for PhD students who go through tension, attention deficit disorder, anxiousness and other phases. Mental health in academia is a real concern. We PhD students badly need to learn Yoga.

Rahul I understand completely! I finished my PhD 6 years ago and practiced yoga throughout my PhD and will say that yoga really truly helped me stay sane! So ok, let me think about creating a yoga practice/playlist for you :-)

Hi - you should try to spry some water before each yoga session… mostly in the hands area.
This is my favourite yoga mat and i use it everyday… just perfect for me!

Kinda looks like my cork topped yoga mat...dry hands are slippery lol but wet hands grip like gecko paws 🐾 Thanks for introducing me to different options out there. Although I don't plan on buying a new mat now, you never know what I might need down the road.
