    Are you tongue blocking the blow bends on those high octave notes ? I HAVE TO lip purse to get the blow bends on the high end and still have control issues with it even after listening and going to many of Mitch’s shows and being thoroughly,high endedly amazed with all he does up top. Good lesson. 😊 Love ya brother. ❤😎

    First position blues is so much fun... but not just blues... especially on the the low octave... heck, playing just the first two holes is awesome... I gotta thank Ben Bouman for posting a video on that one !

    Love those high licks - I have real problems with sticky draw reeds when I play up top. I can play the blow bends fine, but as soon as I switch to draw the reeds choke/jam/stick - can't tell if I'm drawing too hard after the blow notes or maybe I'm blowing too much spit into the harp? Don't know, but it's very frustrating.

    • @jasonricci
      @jasonricci  7 месяцев назад

      I get that!!! It's the spit on those little reeds! It's so hard to remember to keep dry up there! And they so delicate.

    Are you using an articulation to separate the 9b’-9b doubles? Trying to use “twa-twa” but it seems off.

    • @jasonricci
      @jasonricci  7 месяцев назад +1

      Not sure sorry I'm not more help. I definitely use a "ta" sound sometimes on bends blow or draw. Maybe that's what you mean?

      @@jasonricci I stuck to it for a couple hours and figured out I was going past the bend when playing the same blow bend consecutively… I dialed it down some and focused on keeping it right behind my teeth… now I’m cranking them out nicely. This has me wanting to work on more 1st position stuff.

    Did you know?.......that for only $59.00 you can have a grain of sand named after you or a loved one? The grain of sand will be entered into the International Grain of Sand ledger in Washington D.C. The contact is "Sandy" Mozell at BR-549. I don't know about you, but I'm jumpin' on this deal before all the grains of sand are taken and named. I may have to forego my Patreon contribution this month.
