How Netflix's Marketing Team Made Wednesday Film Go Viral is Amazing

  • Wednesday has become one of the most-viewed films on Netflix, and people love it.
    But did you know that there was also a marketing-slash-creative team effort behind this successful film? We know that Wednesday Addams' iconic dance is the best marketing of all, or, should we say, people power through the internet; even Lady Gaga did the dance too.
    First of all, it's all thanks to Thing, the chopped hand. So, Netflix hired a marketing team to do a campaign for Wednesday. The team came up with this idea, creating an animatronic remote control for Thing. It looked so real and alive. Then they let it wander all around the city and recorded some people's reactions toward it. Next, they edited it and put it on Netflix's RUclips channel. It got more than 30 million views. Isn't that amazing! So, two thumbs up for the marketing team, because that marketing campaign worked just fine.
