Incredible control, perfect pitch. Bobby Hatfield set the standard for others to follow, and that standard has yet to be surpassed. The definitive live version of this timeless classic.
Incredible!!,.. if this doesn't give you the chills listening to it,..then you're not alive! And I don't know what's more beautiful,.. this amazing song...or Bobby Hatfield!,.. miss you Bobby, RIP xxx
I got to know the RB's in 1963. In 1983, while in Hollywood I ran into Alex North at a bookstore, he was a true gentleman. I asked him, "Mr. North in your opinion who sang "THEE" best version of "Unchained Melody." He looked up at me and said, "that's easy - Bobby Hatfield on 10-25-1965 on the "Andy Williams Show." We all have are favs - I respect your opinion LeAnn's is great - I just thought I would voice mine. Happy Birthday to his daughter Vallyn. He'd be proud of you.
Yes, time goes by so slowly...I'm still yours....I really need your love...wait for me..I'll be coming home..... I miss you with all of my heart, hon. I will be coming home. R.I.P. my love......wait for me.... :-(
I love these songs, if anyone can share with me some other good titles like this one, it will be highly.appreciated. I am Mexican and here in Mexico it's rare to find someone that listens to this wonderful music. Sorry if I have misspelled some words...
The Skyliners - Since I Don't Have You Lenny Welch - Since I fell for You Gene Pitney - Only Love Can Break A Heart Ivory Joe Hunter - Since I Met You Baby Clyde McPhatter - Lover's Question Tommy Edwards - It's All in the Game ...a few of my favs
Show y Where the Action Is.
So Amazing, I don't really care for the full standard RighteousBros version. THIS is the only "Crooning" that I've ever seen that really works. The absolute effortlessness of this performance is astounding. However IMHO, LeAnn Rime's Studio Version is the Gold Standard, there's also a pretty decent live version from her out here, with godawful scratchy audio, that's pretty good too. Also like Barry Manilo's live version from Results Nite on DWTS. And Tom Jones has a dam decent version out here

Aint no brotha alive that can sing like this.
Bobby owns that tune!!!!
These guys, either separately or together as a duo, should have been a lot bigger than they were....SERIOUS talent......
That final note is surreal for an adult male voice
This will always be Bobby's song. It is perfect.
Is he an alien, because that was out of this world.

It doesn't get any better than this. What a gift from God that Bobby Hatfield shared with all America - None better

Still gives me goosebumps... God bless him
That unassuming, "Did you really like my singing, I'm so pleased" little lip bite at the end sends me.

What is the name of the vocal technique of sing many bound notes, each one of short duration?
He's very very good at that.
O yea!
Is it possible to get a recording of this version? It is by far the best.
