She said she tries to teach her son her traditions but this seemed very foreign to him. If she really wanted to pass that tradition down, perhaps she should have taught him these things from birth, not just when the camera comes on. It doesn't even have to be something done everyday but maybe they could've chosen 1 day out of the week where the family sits on the floor and eat with their hands. I think it's a very sad thing not to pass on traditions and languages to your children.

Dana, the tradition of men in the Middle East is to not allow women to go anywhere unaccompanied by a male. They traditionally aren't even allowed to drive. So technically, he's following tradition.

This is NOT an accurate depiction of Dubai and worse I see this show being very problematic as it gives an American and “white-washed” version but also fails to address the very serious political and social issues running rampant in the country rn.
