- The term "enhancement talent" didn't fit WWE stars like AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan or The Rock.

Damien Sandow is the best example, the pop he got when he eliminated The Miz was HUUUGE.
Yeah and him being partnered up with the Miz as a stunt double worked for Sandow even though it was supposed to make the Miz seem more of a heelish prick but it just didn't work because no one cared about the Miz at that point they just wnated Sandow sorry Miz but it's true
who
He's the first person I thought about and it's a shame he doesn't appear on here at all.
I swear i came to make this exact comment
**Damien MIZdow*
Wait, are you saying that mild mannered reporter Shane Helms was the Hurricane? The whole time?
Nah that can't be
Whatsupwithdat?
It's clear they had Sheamus defeat Daniel that quick because they were scared Sheamus would get a horrible sunburn if he was in the sun for more than 5 minutes.
Lame as hell
@@keandregreen5628but probably true. He can't be in the sun too much 😅
r.i.p to the iconic crash Holly
Yeah rip
Just curious, how many decades have to pass before wrestling fans stop saying RIP? All due respect to all deceased wrestlers, but it is odd that people keep saying RIP to guys who died 20 or more years ago
@@joeboggio4002 showing respect to the dead is a bad thing? well that doesn't work for me brother
@@joeboggio4002 just curious how many decades have to pass for attitude era fans acknowledge other good things in different eras and acknowledge other good eras?
@@joeboggio4002I think it's different when someone dies young.
Mick foley. Vince had no intention of keeping him long term. He was supposed to be taker’s monster of the week feud.
Just like kane
1999 the Rock had AWESOME matches against HHH. this was during the Nation v DX feud was still going on. I'll never forget that every match the Rock had, he did the peoples elbow and EVERY WEEK the moment he did it, the POPs where LOUD. The summerslam ladder match is criminally UNDERRATED- This was about the time that Ladder matches became a common wrestling trope- so that match was still a fresh one (despite the ladder match idea being an old idea of course)
Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian in TNA were told they were too entertaining 😂
Essa Rios’ music went platinum in the hood! 😂
Why is this so funny to me.
LA Knight vs Bray Wyatt launched LA
zzzzzz jjfjdfjdmn zzzzz , huh, who, oh right, yep, Knight exists. zzzzzzzzzz
My immediate thought was Sable
I'm sure it was...
Considering the character was supposedly going to be done with after WrestleMania, yet he went on to win the WWF Championship just 3 months later and stayed with the company for over 2 decades I'm shocked Kane isn't number 1 and I'm absolutely furious he isn't on the list at all!!!
This list was done 3 years ago, they just reuploaded it.
#11: Mankind. He went from being an opponent for Undertaker to putting butts in seats.
Same for Kane…he was supposed to be a temporary gimmick until mania 14 but since it was so good they kept it
Crash was a super heavyweight!! Rip
I think wrestlmania 2000 had him listed at 500 lbs 😆
He brought a scale to prove it damnit
Such a tragedy about his early demise, but you just can't live long walking around at that kind of weight. I think he could have slimmed down to 425, easy. Maybe 400, but that would be pushing it.
Sable & Marc Mero
This is a great one.
The Hurricane? Whats up with that?
I just bought myself a hurricane Funko pop the other day for Father’s Day
@@tompatchak8706 you need to rethink your life
Rock and Shamrock feud was amazing
Fact - Crash Holly is tied with John Cena for a total of 25 championships in WWE
Yeah, that's why Cena never won another title - out of respect for the best big man ever in the sport.
... and Sean Waltman is now a 2 time hall of famer
Excuse you, but we loved Essa's theme, mi hermano.
Forgot James Ellsworth
Man so many people helped Ellsworth get over. The entire women's division on SD, Dean Ambrose, AJ Styles I think there's a few more too
"James Ellsworth responds to allegations that he sent nude photos to a 16 year old girl"
"Forgot"
There are only ten entries.
I don't understand the 123kid thing. He was supposed to pin Scott but he didn't havea real contract yet? How was he not supposed to get over when Scott literally did the job for him? Wasn't this whole angle made to get xpac over? Unless you mean it was supposed to be a mentor role for Scott but was overshadowed by how over pac got. I just feel like the situation doesn't belong in the list. 123 was supposed to get over. He just pinned Razor Ramon.
Thank you. I was looking for this comment.
I was quite the fan of essa rios as a kid
Deacon Batista w/ Reverend D-Von is a monstrous omission off this list.
Batista was never over with D-Von though.
Crash Holly was amazing!! I totally marked out when he came ouy
James Elsworth should have been on here. He was local talent and he ended up having a short career with WWE.
We need more surprise wins like the 1 2 3 kid
1:55 - Razor never really faced Warrior except for six man tag house shows. Maybe it would have been Warrior vs Razor at Wrestlemania 9 if things had played out differently.
Big up to simon for saying the words "The Miz mentored Daniel Bryant" without breaking up
IMO pairing the Miz with Daniel Bryan was genius. Nobody was gonna improve Bryan's wrestling skills at that point, so pairing him with one of the most charismatic superstars on the roster in order to have him benefit from that is a good idea. Plus they were one of the most entertaining parts of the early NXT seasons and one of the few positives coming from gameshow NXT.
That title is a mess ngl
Poor Ken Shamrock man 😢 I legit wish he was a super big thing in the WWE not saying that he was not but his run was not the one we wanted. We wanted this bad mother f'er to be dominating and winning titles
Scott Hall helped the 123 Kid get over. It wouldn't have happened if Hall wasnt so generous. You guys missed the mark there.
Dude… DAMIEN SANDOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
How is Mizdow not on here?!
Razor never faced warrior
I think it's fair to say atlease a few wrestlers got 'over' Lita 😉
Crash Holley was so entertaining.
The character of Kane is my favorite example of this.
I got to see Crash before he got signed at WWE. He was the Leprechaun, and his indie matches were legendary. Shame he fell victim to alcohol.
Truly glorious
Actually Scott Hall LOSING to X-Pac enhanced his career cause after his match with Bret he was Treading water
You can't forget Damien Mizdow!
When AJ and roman were having their bangers, you could tell the crowd was starting to finally understand that Roman wasn't as terrible as they made him out to be. The matches were so good that they couldn't deny it. Hence, the "you still suck" chant started coming.
That was a tacit acknowledgment that he was doing really well, but they couldn't like him because of their perceived issues.
I was sure Sable was going to be in top 3 at least but wasnt on the list at all
James Ellsworth also should have made the list. He was supposed to get Braun Strowman over but got over himself too and got signed. From there, however, he overstayed his welcome.
Where is mizdow??
Essa Rios actually wasn’t bad. Unfortunately they had him paired with a future Hall Of Famer and one of the best women wrestlers ever lmao
Agree the only problem was that he didn’t have no mic skills and couldn’t speak English
Take Lita's story, remove the ability to wrassle and replace it with even more attractiveness, and you have Sable.
Chyna, Trish, Melina
I just bought a hurricane Funko pop at the Walmart. The other day was a Father’s Day present to myself because stand back there’s a hurricane coming through.!!!
Crash Holly was awesome
There are too many TNA wrestlers you could’ve easily added to the list.
And where the heck is Damien “Miz”dow at?
…..Also, where the heck is Mick Foley
I expected Miz/Damien Sandow to be number 1.
It was actually Scott Halls idea to put over Shawn Waltman so they don’t need to be on the be on this list
Always wished theyd give Simmons the belt
Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan was over in 18 seconds because they had to make sure that Undertaker and Cena each had 30 minutes in the ring.
Shouldn't Chyna be on this list because of Triple H?
Shawn waltman 1 of the most under appreciated wrestlers of all time.
3:47 that looks nothing like callaway
Becky Lynch was supposed to be a heel and fueding with Charlotte flair ended up being the Man and multiple WWE women's champion because management recognized they had something here
123 kid had a deal before the Razor match...u got worked
Why do you ignore Daniel Bryan changing his gimmick after to screaming No and winning the tag titles with Kane?
James Ellsworth
#11 X-Factors theme song
James Ellsworth?
DAMN
Recycled material day?
Daniel Bryan is an amazing wrestler.
AJ Styles will have to go down as the best all-around Pro in history.
Ron Simmons should have gotten the Big Eagle or at least the intercontinental championship
Well he didn't get either, and I'm sure Ron has a word for that...
Ken was nowhere near green during his wwe run. You know Pancrase was fixed and an offshoot of pro wrestling and Ken had done that for years before ever going to wwf right?
Sandown should be there instead of miz. While obviously miz has had a much more accomplished career, but Sandown was probably more over than the miz ever was
Crash fuckin ruled. Rest in Peace, Elroy
No L.A Knight?
Because he's still mid
I agree with all these people on the list except the Rock. Because he never really got over. He's still trying to make it to that next level.
are... are you being serious right now?
@@miguelnewmexico8641 yes. I know he'll get there eventually, but right now he's not a star yet. But he's a young man, he has time to grow
We could do without 123 kid
Shamus win people pop for it never belive the lies that people was upset
😊
You’ll never see Matt Damon on this list
🤮
WWE forced Roman Reigns down the throats of the fans so much I still don't care to watch any of his matches
The Hurricane
123 kid
Diesel
All 3 are OVERRATED as Fvck
Ron Simmons was not brought in to job to Johnson....like where did u get that crap ...he was just the WCW world champ....more more Simon shows he has NO CLUE
He was WCW Champion for two months in 1992. And he WAS brought in to the WWF (in 1996) to be part of Ahmed's big IC title push, until legit injuries and attitude problems stunted Ahmed as a top babyface...
@@tomseville2345 Yes he was brought in 1996 to get over not put Ahmed over he was already over...if anything it was for them to fued not put him over
"Nobody thought Reigns was a bad wrestling" Have you lot never seen all those "Roman is a shit wrestler" comments from back when idiots just left anti-Roman comments for the sake of upvotes?
I miss blamlied.
So much that you forgot his name?
Everyone around the time wanted to see a hot sexy fiery red head with tats and that's what Lita was so no wonder she got over more than Essa Rios. Because a woman around that time was more valued for her amazing looks than a guy who was a prominent wrestler
Not every one dude...we like her cause ya she was hot but could moonsault and wrestle unlike 90% of the rest of the TNA
@@scottmcfarlane7524 yeah her Moonsault was amazing but the TNA women had some good wrestling
@@scottmcfarlane7524 TNA didn't exist in 2000-early '02, when Lita had her WWF/E in-ring heyday...
@@tomseville2345 yeah
1:13 What do you mean "pure WWE at the time"... they still do that to this day. They go as far as creating stables & teams strictly based on ethnicity.
Hurt Business, Hit Row; and now Cedric and Ashante are a tag team, and B-Fab is in Lashley's stable with the Street Profits... 🤣🤣
Lita is for the streets.
Could be taken both ways, as that's what fans were saying about her (OUT of character, despite what WWE exec Bruce Prichard says) after the Matt/Edge situation...
I’m sorry but rock is not all that
one rock is the rock
the other is the sham rock
Nah, the "Yes" movement was embraced by WWE they simply worked the fans into believing they made that choice. And thus began DB's WWE career. Great wrestler for sure but he was a terrible choice for WWE champion and just very boring to boot.
Hi, Paul! Tell Mark and Steph I said hi!
WE LOVE YOU SIMON !!
First comment Jeff hardy😂
