This really typified the kind of show Granada were making in the 1980s that only got a network slot because it was Granada. Just take some lousy act from the local working men's clubs and stick them in front of a camera, they seemingly made thousands of the flipping things - a lazy, complacent company at times. This would have been old hat in 1975. I thought it was grim in the early '80s... I'd forgotten they were still making it a few years out from the' 90s!
brilliant
So lovely to see Jimmy Savile back on our screens - much missed!
I loved watching this as a kid.
Was it on at the weekend?
I'm sure I remember watching it at my grandparents.
I can see why Alternative Comedy had to happen.

There's a Writing Supervisor listed in the credits, but, apparently, no actual writers would admit to being involved.
A Savile impersonator.
9:15 lol.
City were absolute 💩 at the time and now look at them. Best team in the world.😂
Loved this at the time but go easy on my folks, I was 10. Pretty sure you will say that is no excuse.
