Regular Meteor showers sometimes drops a few Aluminium ores.
The Crater... There's good stuff at the bottom.
Don't bring Blueprint chips back home. The unlock screen is just Iron+Silicon. Make one in your Shelter or even on the ground, and decode the chip there. Saves an inventory slot.
Ore Extractors dig up ores.
T1 can extract all the common ores, Iridium, Aluminium and Sulfur. T2 can also extract Uranium, Osmium and Zeolite.
T1 has a poor 'hit rate' so also digs up a lot of the other ores. T2 has better hit ratio. T3 is set to one specific ore and only produces that.
When a T1/T2 shows Iron, it means it's producing the common ores(Iron, Titanium, Cobalt, Magnesium, Silicon)
Small suggestion... Next time you're out looking around, fly Nort from your base (towards the 'Good stuff beacon), then turn right as soon as you're past the mountains on your right... You'll enter a small biome that you want to place that Ore Extractor in...
Honestly that crater terrified me at the time. I was so far away from my base I didn’t wanna die. I’ll have to check it out sometime soon. I don’t know why I didn’t think about the blueprint thing being so cheap but that’s genius.
Thank you also for explaining the pre extractor because I had no idea about it. I’ll see if I can find that biome next time I play and set it up there.
