The melody makes me so happy I tear up, but the lyrics are so sad.
When I discovered this song 2years ago I could relate so much to the lyrics and to the sadness and loneliness of the song. Now, I hear the comforting melody that fills me with happiness. Growth is amazing!

For the past couple of nights this song helped me fall asleep. And no, I don't mean that it's boring-quite the opposite. Even though the feelings conveyed are not of contentment, his voice and the tune itself are so soothing that they manage to calm me and to stop me from stressing and overthinking.

Back last fall my dads condition from years of alcoholism worsened. He was put on hospice at home and my sister, cousin and I primarily took care of him. It was a rollercoaster those last two months but I would listen to Noah kahan during that entire time and now all his songs remind me of it. Almost all of his songs remind me in someway of addiction. My dad died November 6th and I don’t think it’s quite hit me what has happened or what my sister and I went through. We were both juggling working full time while also being there to take care of him, being at all his in home nurse visits, and the last week, we never left his bedside. I will never forget those images of death and I will always know all too well the exact plight and damage the disease of addiction causes and the tragedy it leaves in its wake.

i heard this song on loop as my grandfather died almost 2 months ago. it really helped me dealing with it. The line with "And I want to believe I haven't lost you " 3:06 always got me. I was crying a river immediately. I still hear it as often as possible to keep by granddad in my mind.
